JUNE 30 THROUGH JULY 1, 1999

I had a dog and ferret page in Leap 3. It came from and eventually led to other areas, and I really enjoyed all the new friends I made here. That was my starting point for today's leap.

This is a kennel run by Brent and Shelley Work, who actually started the kennel only last year. Salukis are also known as Persian Greyhounds and the site teaches all about the breed in a very interesting way. The site itself is professionally designed by an Internet Company. Well worth the visit.

ESCAPE: SITE HOUNDS WEBRING

The Poopydog Page! Poopydogs are, for the sake of this website, Greyhounds who have been rescued or retired from racetracks. The Poopydogs on this site are named Gabrielle, Darriah and Carmen and they live with their big-hearted Mommy and Daddy in Maryland. I know these wonderful people would want me to pass on this important message:

Each year, many, many thousands of greyhounds are needlessly killed or donated for research when their owners decide that they are no longer (or never will be) financially productive or because of injuries due to neglect and/or accidents while racing.

ESCAPE: GREYHOUND WEBRING

Jazz King and Pipp. Two greyhounds in Moosic, Pennsylvania, who have recently added Angel to their home. Like the Poopydogs above, this family was all retired from the world of the racetrack. The family Jazz King, Pipp and Angel have moved in with have a very large web site with MIDI links, HTML help, and stuff about them, the whole thing put together by their Mom, Elvira.

ESCAPE: KEEPER OF THE STARS WEBRING (For rescuing animals)

Brenda's Page. Brenda is one of those people it is a pleasure to meet. She loves animals and works for a veteranarian and lives in New York State with her husband, John, who is a fireman. She has probably the best "Feel Good" site I've ever seen. Page after beautiful page of inspiration await the viewer, so get there! She decorates each page from a different graphics site, with links to all of them. Aside from her Webrings, this site is not SPECIFICALLY about pets, but so what?

ESCAPE: CYBERHUGS WEBRING

Jannie's Home Page. Jannie lives in Phalaborwa, South Africa (Big leap there!) Jannie includes some pictures of South African scenery (like on the left) and some poetry on her site and announced that she would be adding a "Tree Page", but the last update was February 6, 1998 and this has not happened yet. What is there is very nicely done; Jannie is a true artist.

ESCAPE: GUESTBOOK ENTRY 3/30/99

The world of Carmina D. Olano, 19, a college student in Manila. She wants to show the rest of the world her poetry (along with her friends) and her own view of the world. Here is poetry with a lot of heart. (AND THANKS FOR SIGNING MY GUEST BOOK ALREADY, MEENAH!)

ESCAPE: POETRY WEBRING (NEXT SITE)

A collection of Poetry by Victoria Ainsworth. Written from the heart, beautifully designed and placed into very specific categories (e.g., Family, Nature, Life, Religion...). Vicky is 24, into DAYS OF OUR LIVES and Computer Chat (that's how she met her boyfriend); very devoted to family and a huge number of friends. She is a graduate programmer and lives in Ontario. (See, we're back to Canada now). A truly fine site by someone who really know the net.

THE FOLLOWING SITES WERE VISITED ON JULY 1. I WOULD HAVE MADE A SEPARATE PAGE, BUT...

ESCAPE: BBW/FA (BIG BEAUTIFUL WOMEN/FAT ADMIRERS) WEBRING

Gina's World. Gina Dean lives in Tennessee and has multiple links to a lot of her on-line buddies. Unfortunately, most of her links don't link up and her picture page has mostly blank pages.

ESCAPE -- GUESTBOOK ENTRY 5/19/98

Mike's Domain. Not a bad little page. Well designed, good pic of Mike; he started but did not complete a Tribute to the Andy Griffith Show. Last updated March 13, 1998. Links Nowhere.

END OF LEAP.
