     Nathan married second to Susanna King.   Susanna was born 1805 in North Carolina.  Nathan and his family were also listed in the 1830 Buncombe Co., North Carolina Census records, the 1840 Buncombe Co., North Carolina, Northern Division Census records, pg. 184, the 1850 Buncombe Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 283, household 1042, the 1860 Madison Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 329, household 473, and the 1870 Marshall, Madison Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 414, household 80, living with his daughter Julia Ann and James Roberts.  Nathan at one time owned his own Grist Mill.  Nathan died in 1870 and Susannah supposedly died in 1885, but I cannot find her in the census records, unless she died before Nathan died, or she remarried. They both are buried in the Old Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., North Carolina. Their children were

1. Mary Elizabeth Worley, (See 3rd Generation), born: 1829 in North Carolina.

2. William M. Worley, born: 17 September 1830 in Buncombe Co., North Carolina.. He married twice. He married first to Sarah Jane Waldroup on 03 February 1854 in Madison Co., North Carolina. Sarah was born: 1835 in North Carolina and died in 1898. She is buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, North Carolina. Their children were: 

     a. Nathaniel S. Worley, born 27 Jan 1855 in Buncombe Co., NC.  He married Elizabeth J. Rice on 07 Oct 1874.  Elizabeth was born in 1856, the daughter of Reuben Rice and Susanna Ramsey.  Nathaniel died on 22 Jan 1921, and Elizabeth died on 20 Feb 1920.  Children: Canada, William, Reagan, Margaret Jane, Tennie, Henry R., Eva, Tony, Althe, Bertha, and Amanda Worely.

     b. Margaret Worley, born 1858 in Buncombe Co., NC.  She married J. Harrison Sawyer.  He was born in 1854.  Their children were:  Martha, Sophrona, Albert, and Emma Sawyer.

     c. James Worley, born ca 1859 in Buncombe Co., NC.

     d. Albert Lafayette Worley, born 12 Jun 1860.  He married Clarissa L. Bucker 27 Nov 1886.  Clarissa was born on 23 May 1870, the daughter of Ephraim Buckner and Emeline McPheters.  Albert died on 05 Aug 1940, and Clarissa died on 24 Jan 1921.  They both are buried in the Big Pine Cemetery, Big Pine, Madison Co., NC.  Children:  Austin, Bertie, Dalton, Allie, Doil, Burnett, Cleta, and Mary Worley.

     e. Henry Clay Worley, born ca 1861.  He married Lastie Ann "Louisa" Worley,  Louisa was born ca 1861 in NC the daughter of Robeson Worley and Ruth J. Davis.  Henry died in 1902 and Louisa died on 03 Aug 1934.  She is buried in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.  Children:  James Hezekiah, Arthur, Melissa, Mattie, Dosha, Hattie, Frances, Tola, and Zora Belle Worley.

     f. David W. Wolrey, born 26 Aug 1864.  He married Rachel C. Caldwell.  Rachel was born ca 1864.  David was born on 17 Sept 1914, and is buried in the Big Pine Cemetery, Big Pine, Madison Co., NC.  Children:  Maggie, Meuny, Vesta, Crawford, Lewis Calvin, and Alson Alvin Worley.

     g. Harley Worley, born 23 Oct 1866.  He married Rachel Lucretia Davis on 28 Jan 1889 in Madison Co., NC.  Rachel was born on 29 May 1874, the daughter of James M. Davis and Elizabeth Sawyer.  Harley died on 16 Jun 1934, and Rachel died on 08 May 1955.  They both are buried in the Grape Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherokee Co., North Carolina.  Children:  Clestie, Ambrose, Artie, Macy, Ezra, Comice, Crecie, Vernie, Louella, and Aaron Worley.

     h. Stephen Collison Worley, born 02 Oct 1868 in NC.  He married Mary Ann Waldrop.  Mary was born on 21 Mar 1868 in NC, the daughter of William Waldrop and Mary Elizabeth Worley.  Stephen died on 09 May 1946 and Mary died on 15 Nov 1919.  They both are buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., NC.  Children:  Cora Belle, Ulysses Grant, Melissa, Everett L., Kelly, Carrie, Ada, Bonnie, and Ara May Worley.

     i. Laura Jane Worley, born 04 Apr 1870 in Madison Co., NC.  She married Newton Fidello Baker.  Newton was born on 09 March 1863, the son of David Baker and Isabella Bennett.  Laura died on 28 Mar 1949, and Newton died on 28 Mar 1952.  They both are buried in the Big Pine Cemetery, Big Pine, Madison Co., NC.  Children:  Levy Elmore, William, Docia, Mallie, Newton, Velda, Elva, Dorcy, McElroy, Louisa, Evelyn, Clellan, and Tracey Lou Baker.

     j. Joseph A. Worley, born 17 Mar 1872 in Madison Co., NC.  He married Sallie Elvira Jarrett.  Sallie was born on 06 Nov 1869 the daughter of Jacob Jarrett.  Joseph died on 15 May 1955, and Sallie died on 07 Feb 1930.  They both are buried in the Worley Cemetery, Madison Co., NC.  Children:  Ailer, Dallas, Guy, Abraham, Ruby, and Isaac Worley.

     k. Napolean P. Worley, born 27 Jul 1876 in Madison Co., NC.  He married Carrie Elizabeth Roberts.  Carrie was born on 18 May 1878.  Napolean died on 04 Jun 1962, and Carrie died on 29 Apr 1966.  They both are buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine Cemetery, Madison Co., NC.  Children:  Luther, Dora, Homer, Cartie, Karie, Thelma, Deloris, Cletus, and Aaron Worley.  

     l. Leander Jackson "Lee" Worley, born 31 Jan 1878 in Madison Co., NC.  He married twice.  He married first to Minnie L. Roberts.  Minnie was born ca 1878.  Lee married second to Oma Elizabeth Davis.  Oma was born on 13 Mar 1888.  Lee died on 04 Oct 1958, and Oma died on 08 Dec 1937.  They both are buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., NC.  Lee's Children:  Grace, Ocie, Lockey, Woodrow, William, Curtis, Avery, Garrison, Mildred, Pauline, Nadine, Leroy, and Nettie Worley.

     m. Frederick Worley, born 05 Mar 1883 in Madison Co., NC.  He married Rebecca Cooper on 05 Apr 1902.  Rebecca was born on 29 May 1884.  Frederick died on 02 Dec 1958, and Rebecca died on 17 Sept 1956.  They both are buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., NC.  Children:  Willard, Minnice, Elva, Gliftie, Tessie, Beatrice, Selma, Fassie, Algia, Chan, Abbie, Effie, and Addie Worley.

     William married second to Jane E. Fisher in 1900. Jane was born on 14 February 1849.  William died on 26 December 1919.  He is buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., North Carolina.

3. Margaret Worley, born in 1831 in Buncombe Co., North Carolina. She married Benjamin Robards/Roberts. Benjamin was born in 1826 in North Carolina.  Their family was listed in the 1860 Madison Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 324, household 402.  Children:

     a. Polly A. Roberts, born ca 1853, Madison Co., NC

     b. David Roberts, born ca 1854, Madison Co., NC

     c. John Roberts, born ca 1856, Madison Co., NC

     d. Nathan Roberts, born ca 1858, Madison Co., NC

     e. William Franklin Roberts, born ca 1859, Madison Co., NC

4. Robeson Worley, born in 1833 in Buncombe Co., North Carolina. He married Ruth Jane Davis on 10 November 1853. Ruth was born in 1835, the daughter of Nathaniel Davis and Dorothy "Dolly" Thomas. Ruth died in September 1922. Their children were: 

     a. James A. Worley, born ca 1854 in NC.  He married 3 times.  He married Laura Caldwell, Mary Massey, and Priscilla Davis.  Priscilla was born on ca Apr 1853 in NC, the daughter of E. Roberts and Isabell Goforth.  James and Priscilla were listed in the 1880 Warm Springs, Madison Co., NC Census records, pg. 110B.  Priscilla died on 03 Dec 1921.  James' children:  Harriet, Mary and Julia Worley. 

     b. Mary E. Worley, born ca 1856 in NC.  She married _____ Massey.

     c. Violet Worley, born ca 1859 in NC.  She married James Hardy "Hardy" Roberts.  Hardy was born ca 1858 in NC.  Their family was listed in the 1880 Warm Springs, Madison Co., NC Census records, pg. 108B.  Children:  Delila Roberts.

     d. Eliza Jane Worley, born ca 1860 in NC.

     e. Lastie Ann "Louisa" Worley, born ca 1861 in NC.  Louisa married Henry Clay Worley.  See her lineage above.

     f. Harriet Elmira Worley, born ca 1862 in NC.  She married Garrison Davis.

     g. John A. Worley, born ca 1869 in NC.

     h. Sina A. Worley, born ca 1878 in NC.  She married James W. Davis.

5. Julia Caroline Worley, born: October 1834, died: 10 April 1919. She married James Roberts on 15 January 1857 in Madison Co., North Carolina. James was born in 1835 in North Carolina, the son of Javin? and Julia Roberts.  Their family was listed in the 1870 Marshall, Madison Co., North Caroline Census records, pg. 414, household 80.   Julia died on 10 April 1919 and is buried in the Fortner Cemetery. Their children were: 

     a. Samuel J. Roberts, born ca 1858 in NC.  He married Kate E. _____.  Kate was born ca 1858 in NC.  Children:  James J., Bettie, and Aletha Roberts.

     b. William N. Roberts, born ca 1859 in NC.

     c. Ruth Jane Roberts, born 29 Oct 1861 in NC.  She married R. B. Caldwell.

6. Rutha M. Worley, born: 1836. She married Daniel Christenberry A. Davis on 03 March 1853 in Madison Co., North Carolina. Daniel was born in 1833, the son of Nathaniel Davis and Dorothy "Dolly" Thomas. Daniel died in Cherokee Co., North Carolina. Their children were: 

     a. Daniel C. Berre Davis, born Unknown.  He married Rachel Roberts.

     b. Garrison Davis, born Unknown.  He married Hariett Elmira Worley, the daughter of Robeson Worley and Ruth Jane Davis.  Her lineage information is above.

7. Harriet Woody Worley, born: 22 February 1837, died: 06 May 1934. She married George Washington Buckner on 29 June 1861 in Madison Co., North Carolina. George was born: 09 December 1834 in North Carolina, the son of Tatum Buckner and Martha P. Sprinkle. Their family was listed in the 1870 Spring Creek, Madison Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 427, household 8, and the 1880 Warm Springs, Madison Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 110A.  George died: 06 January 1928. They both are buried in the Kirt Payne Cemetery, Madison Co., North Carolina. Their children: 

     a. Emily J. Buckner, born ca 1867, Madison Co., NC 

     b. David Buckner, born 12 Oct 1869,  Madison Co., NC.  He died on 04 Sept 1885, and is buried in the Kirt Payne Cemetery, Madison Co., NC.

8. Adolphus D. Worley, born: 03 March 1842, died: 23 April 1928. He married Mary Emeline "Polly" Caldwell Buckner on 07 January 1866, Madison Co., North Carolina. Polly was previously married to Joseph Hardy Buckner. Polly was born: 27 August 1838, and died: 16 June 1911. They both are buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., North Carolina. Their children were:

     a. John B. Worley, born ca 1867, Madison Co., NC.  He married Laura Smith.  Children:  Gertrude, Matilda, Bev, and Jeter Worley.  

     b. Sarah Malinda "Sally" Worley, born ca 1870, Madison Co., NC.  She married John Henderson.  Children:  Rufus, Woodson, Doyle, Glenn, Galen, Addie, Williard and Alma Henderson. 

     c. Margaret Worley, born ca 1872, Madison Co., NC.  She married John Landers.

     d. Jacob Andrew Worley, born 14 Aug 1877, Madison Co., NC.  He married Luella Henderson.  Luella was born on 30 Aug 1879 in TN.  Jacob died on 22 Feb 1954, and Luella died on 13 Aug 1961.  They both are buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., NC.  Children:  Maude, Ethel, William, Edward, Howard, Clara, Belva and Grace Worley.

9. John Worley, born: August 1843. He married twice. He married first to Harriet Matilda "Matilda" Martin on 30 January 1860 in Buncombe Co., North Carolina. Matilda was born in 1839, the daughter of William and Martha Martin. Their children were: 

     a. Humphrey Posey Worley, born 01 Mar 1861, NC.  He married Sally _____.  Humphrey died 22 Feb 1920.  

     b. Lucinda Worley, born ca 1864, NC.  She married Irwin Huston Chambers on 23 Nov 1884 in Swain Co., NC.

     c. William Franklin Worley, born 13 Mar 1866, NC.  He married Laura Worley on 24 Dec 1885 in Madison Co., NC.  Laura was born on 06 Jan 1868 the daughter of Adolphus Phillip "Amos" Worley and Sarah Ann Roberts.  Children:  Hester, Della, Laura, Matilda, Millie, and Burman Worley.  William died and is buried in GA.  

     d. Harriet M. Worley, born ca 1868, Madison Co., NC.  She married _____ Moody.

     e. Martha Worley, born ca 1870, Madison Co., NC

     f. John J. Worley, born ca 1872, Madison Co., NC.  He married Elizabeth Estes.

     John married second to Louis Teague in December 1875 in Madison Co., North Carolina.

10. David Worley, born: 1848. He married twice. He was married first to Susanna Davis, the daughter of Nathaniel Davis and Dorothy "Dolly" Thomas. Their family was listed in the 1860 Madison Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 414, household 81, and the 1880 Warm Springs, Madison Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 110A.  Their children were:

     David married second to Elizabeth Sawyer.  Elizabeth was born ca 1848 in North Carolina, the daughter of Thomas Sawyer and Rachel Davis. Elizabeth was previously married to James Madison "Matt" Davis, son of Joseph Minzy "Minzy" Davis and Lucretia Roberts McPheters. Elizabeth died on 25 December 1924, and is buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., North Carolina. David and Elizabeth had one daughter:

     f. Arry Worley, born ;Unknown.

11. Jane Worley, born: 1850. Jane never married.
