Descendants of Phillip Richcreek

    Phillip Richcreek was born ca 1732. I do not know who his parents were, nor where he was born. We find Phillip in Loudoun Co., Virginia. Phillips wife's name is unknown as of this time. Phillip died ca 1810 in Loudoun Co., Virginia. His know children were:

1.  Gresham Richcreek, born unknown, probably in Virginia.

2.  Mary Richcreek, born ca 1755 in Virginia. She married John Clip. Their family was listed in the 1810 Loundoun Co., Virginia Census with 1 male 10-15, 1 male 45 +, 2 females under 10, 1 female 16 to 25 and 1 female 45 +. Their family was also listed in the 1820 Loudoun Co., Virginia Cenus with 1 male 45 +, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 16-26, and 1 female 45 +.

3.  John Richcreek, born ca 1757 in Virginia. He married a Miss Lutch/Lutz. John was listed in the 1798 and 1807 Dover, York Co., Pennsylvania Tax records. Their family was listed in the 1810 Dover, York Co., Pennsylvania Co., Census records with 1 male 10-15, 2 males 16-25, 1 male 45 +, 2 females 16-25, and 1 female 45 +. Children: Adam Richcreek.

4.  Elizabeth Richcreek, born ca 1759 in Virginia. She married _____ Redd.

5.  Jane Richcreek, born ca 1760 in Virginia. She married Joshua Hatcher. Joshua was born 20 Oct 1759 in Goose Creek, Loudoun Co., Virginia, the son of John Hatcher and Sarah Ingledue. Joshua was listed in the 1806-1810 Belmont Co., Ohio Tax records. Their family was listed in the 1810. Their family was listed in the 1820 Richland, Belmont Co., Ohio Census with 1 male 10-15, 1 male 26-44, 1 male 45 +, 1 female under 10, 1 female 10-15, and 1 female 45+, the 1830 Richland, Belmont Co., Ohio Census records with 1 male 70-79, 1 female 15-19, and 1 female 70-79, and lastly the 1840 Richland, Belmont Co., Ohio Census with 1 male 80-89 and 1 female 80-89. Jane died 22 Feb 1847 and Joshua died on 29 Jul 1845. They both are buried in the Plainfield Friends Cemetery, Lloydsville, Belmont Co., Ohio, Children: John, Mahlon, Ann, William, Catherine, Sarah, and Mary Hatcher.

6.  Phillip Richcreek, (See 2nd Generation), born 1761 in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania?

     Phillip Richcreek born ca 1761 in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania? Phillip enlisted in 1781 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as a Private in the 2nd Regiment of Pennsylvania during the Revolutionary War. He fought at Jamestown and the Siege of York. He was mustered out in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania in 1783. He married Sarah Royer on 13 October 1787 in Loudoun Co., Virginia. Sarah was born ca 1763 in Shelbowine Parish, Loudon Co., Pennsylvania. Their family was listed in the 1810 Jefferson Co., Virginia Cenus with 3 males under 10, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 45 +, 1 female under 10, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 16-25, and 1 female 26-44, the 1820 I could not find them, the 1830 Perry, Muskingum Co., Ohio Census with 2 males 20-29, 1 male 60-69, 1 female 15-19, and 1 female 60-69, and lastly the 1840 Perry, Muskingum Co., Ohio Census records with 1 male 10-14, 1 male 70-79, and 1 female 60-69. Phillip received a pension of $8.00 per month starting on 26 May 1818 in Jefferson Co., Ohio for his service during the War. Phillip also received a land warrant for 100 acres of land which was dated on the 18th day of June 1812 and signed by W. Eustis, Secretary of War. Phillip died on 27 August 1842 in Muskingum Co., Ohio, and Sarah died on 26 February 1856, both are said to be buried on their family homestead which is 2 miles S.E. of Bridgeville, Muskingum Co., Ohio. 1.  Thomas Richcreek, born: 22 Aug 1788 in Jefferson, Virginia. He married Elizabeth _____. Elizabeth was born in 1790 in Virginia. Their family was listed in the 1810 Jefferson Co., Virginia Census with 2 males under 10, 1 male 16-25, 1 female under 10, 1 female 24-44, then the 1820 Washington, Coshocton Co., Ohio Census with 2 males under 10, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 16-25, 1 male 26-44, 1 female under 10, 1 female 10-15, and 1 female 26-44, the 1830 Virginia, Coshocton Co., Ohio Census with 1 male under 5, 1 male 10-14, 1 male 15-19. 1 male 40-49, 2 females 5-9, 1 female 10-14, 2 females 15-19, 1 female 20-29, 1 female 40-49, the 1840 Virginia, Coshocton Co., Ohio Census with 1 male 10-14, 1 male 50-59, 2 females 15-19, and 1 female 50-59. Their family was also listed in the 1850-1860 Virginia, Coshocton Co., Ohio Census Records. Elizabeth died sometime after the 1860 Census as Thomas was listed in 1870 Tippecanoe, Kosciusko Co., Indiana Census records living with his son James. Thomas died on 11 Sep 1870, and is buried in the North Webster Cemetery, North Webster, Kosciusko Co., Indiana. Children: Nancy, James, Maria, George Washington, Frances Ann?, Eleanor, Susan, Cassandra, and Thomas Richcreek.

2.  Sarah Richcreek, born: 1794 in Virginia. She married Jonathan Palmer on 02 Jul 1820 in Muskingum Co., Ohio. Jonathan was born in 1789 in Virginia. Their family was listed in the 1850 and 1860 Jackson, Coshocton Co., Ohio Census Records. Sarah died on 19 Jan 1864. Both Sarah and Jonathan are buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, Randle, Coshocton Co., Ohio. Children: Emily, Addison, and Joel P. Palmer.

3.  Jane Richcreek, (See 3rd Generation), born: 15 Feb 1799 in Virginia.

4.  John Richcreek, born: ca 1800 in Virginia. He married twice. John married first to Nancy Rhodes, the daughter of John Rhodes and Sarah Webb. Children: Wesley D. Richcreek. John owned 80 acres of land in Zanesville, Muskingum Co., Ohio which he sold to Soloman Sturges on 08 Sept 1835, this tract of land was awarded to him for his military service. John married second to Sarah _____. Sarah was born ca 1797 in Virginia. Their family was listed in the 1840 Frederick Co., Virginia Census with 1 male 5-9, 1 male 10-14, 1 male 30-39, 1 female under 5, 1 female 5-9, and 1 female 40-49. Their family was also listed in then 1850, 1860 and 1870 Frederick Co., Virginia Census records. John also fathered a child by Jane Clipp. Both John and Sarah probably died in Frederick Co., Virginia. Their children were: Mahlon, Mary J., John and Balsora Richcreek.

5.  David Wesley Richcreek, born: ca 1802 in Virginia. He married twice. He married first to Dorcas E. "Darkey" Wasson on 25 Jun 1826 in Jefferson Co., Virginia. Children: Mary E., and James H. Richcreek. Their family was listed in the 1830 Eastern Division, Frederick Co., Virginia Census, pg. 80 with 1 male 20-29, 2 females under 5, 1 female 5-9, and 1 female 20-29, then the 1840 Perry, Muskingum Co., Ohio Census with 2 males under 5, 1 male 30-39, 2 females 5-9, 1 female 101-4, 1 female 15-19, and 1 female 30-39. Darkey died after the 1840 Census and David married second to Nancy M. Tidball on 28 Sept 1843 (Thank you Steven Richcreek for this information). Nancy was born ca 1821. David and Nancy's family were listed in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 Bedford Twp., Coshocton Co., Ohio Census. David died on 29 May 1880 in Coschocton Co., Ohio. Nancy was listed in the 1880 Bedford, Coshocton Co., Ohio Census records, and lastly in the 1900 Bedford, Coshocton Co., Ohio Census living with her son William and his family. Nancy died on 03 May 1907. Children: Aaron, Sarah, Rebecca J., David W., John L., Aaron Thomas, Louisa, Susan, and William Ellsworth Richcreek.

6.  Jefferson H. Richcreek, born: 17 Nov 1804 in Virginia. He married twice. He married first to Nancy Hardesty. He married second to Sarah Elsea on 07 Oct 1829 in Muskingum Co., Ohio. Sarah was born ca 1812 in Ohio. Jefferson and Sarah's family were listed in the 1840 Perry, Muskingum Co., Ohio Census with 1 male under 5, 2 males 5-9, 1 male 30-39, 2 females under 5, and 1 female 30-39, then the 1850 Perry Muskingum Co., Ohio Census, the 1860 Salt Creek Twp., Muskingum Co., Ohio Census. Jefferson died on 30 Apr 1879 in Independence, Jackson Co., Missouri and is buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence, Jackson Co., Missouri. Sarah was listed as widow in the 1880 Independence, Jackson Co.,Missouri Census records. Jefferson and Sarah's children: William A., Henry D., Mary E., Lewis H., Sarah N., Harriet M., Frances Ann, John W., Jefferson T., Isaac Franklin, Melvin, and Josephine Richcreek.

7.  Charles Humphrey Richcreek, born: 21 Jun 1807 in Virginia. He married Alcinda Elsea. Alcinda was born in Oct 1809 in Virginia. Their family was listed in the 1840 Perry, Muskingum Co., Ohio Census with 1 male under 5, 1 male 5-9, 1 male 30-39, 1 female under 5, 1 female 5-9, and 1 female 20-29, the 1850 Union, Elkhart Co., Indiana Census and the 1860, and 1870 Jackson, Elkhart Co., Indiana Census. Charles died on 22 Mar 1877. Alcinda was listed as a widow in the 1880 Jackson, Elkhart Co., Indiana Census Records. Alcinda died on 20 Aug 1882 in Kosciusko Co., Indiana. Both Charles and Alicinda are buried in the Milford Cemetery, Milford, Kosciusko Co., Indiana. Charles and Alcinda's children were: John L., Nancy A., William J., Sarah J. Richcreek.

8.  Mary Leannah "Leannah" Richcreek, born: 17 Apr 1810 in Muskingum Co., Ohio. She married Josiah Passmore, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Passmore. Josiah was born on 17 Oct 1805, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Passmore. Josiah was a Private during the Civil War in the Co. D, 51st Ohio Volunteer Infantry, under Captain B. F. Heskitt. This information is from the 51st Ohio Volunteer Infantry Webpage, contributed by Don Wiggins. Their family was listed in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Virginia, Coshocton Co., Ohio Cenus Records. Leannah died on 25 August 1880, and is buried in the Branch Cemetery, Coshocton Co., Ohio (Thank you Carole). Children: David W., James M., Hannah Jane, William Anderson, Elizabeth Leannah, Josiah, Phillip, and Sarah Passmore.

9.  Hannah Richcreek, born: ca 1815 in Muskingum Co., Ohio.  She married Jacob Shuck on 10 Apr 1834.  Jacob was born on 25 Apr 1814 in Muskingum Co., Ohio, the son of Christopher Shuck and Mary Livengood. Hannah and Jacob's family were listed in the 1840 Muskingum Co., Ohio Census with 1 male 10-14, 1 male 20-29, 2 females under 5, 1 female 15-19, and 1 female 20-29, and the 1850 and 1860, Perry Twp., Muskingum Co., Ohio Census. Hannah died on 13 Jul 1866. Jacob remarried, and died on 10 Mar 1897 in Muskingum Co., Ohio. They both are buried in the Bowers Cemetery, Zanesville, Muskingum Co., Ohio. Children: Mary L., Phillip, Samuel, Eliza, William A., Isaiah, John F. and Harriet "Hatty" Shuck.

     Jane Richcreek born 15 February 1799 in Virginia, married Joseph Parks on 02 July 1820 in Zanesville, Muskingum Co., Ohio. Joseph was born 01 July 1800 in Ohio, the son of David and Catherine Parks.  Jane and Joseph were listed in the 1850 Coshocton Co., Ohio Census. I do not have their death dates or where they died.
