THE ASHRAM

Founded by Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha in Kerala in 1963, the ashram is set in truly inspiring sylan surroundings. It is located on the lower slope of a small conicle hill. At the pinnacle of the hill stood the ruins of a temple of a Goddess which was later re-constructed by the efforts of Swamiji and other devotees.

How to Get To the Ashram

The Ashram overlooks Trichur town and the railway station is only about 7 kms away. Trichur is a night's train journey from Madras. Cochin airport is about 75 kms and there are regular flights from Bombay and Madras.

Retreat

The conducive atmosphere of the ashram with its scenic splendour, ringed by flowing backwaters and groves of coconut palms is ideal for anyone who wants a place to contemplate and introspect.
