Ferris Bueller's Day Off
(out of 5)
Ever play hookey from school before? Ferris
Bueller is not only an expert, he is THE KING of lying, scheming, and having
fun. This movie is not only entertaining, you actually learn something!
It's amazing how one kid can be so good at being so bad!
Ferris Bueller's Day Off gives a whole new definition of a "school day." How can you go to a museum, a restaurant, school (to pick up a friend), the World Trade Center, and play a clarinet, swim, cruise, and sing in a parade, in only half a day? Also, try spending MORE time "fixing" your friend's dad's car mile meter so it goes back a few miles! Unbelievable! The parents in this movie are so naive, was the setting for this movie set in the 1950s? This movie isn't as superficial as I thought it would be. The characters actually have a personality, and the movie isn't exactly based on shallow kids who ditch school for kicks. There are some heartwarming scenes in here, but don't expect it for more than a second--this IS a movie about teens who cut school! I must of watched this movie over 40 times, but who's counting? It isn't exactly the most hilarious movie, but it does make you laugh quite a bit. Watch it with your friend and REALLY have fun the next time you...um...well, go out. Don't worry parents, this movie is so outrageous, the stuff Ferris did can't possibly be done. Can it? |
