About Me

Rich

 It is said...

"A human being is part of the whole, called by us the 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separate from the rest -a kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

-Albert Einstein

Hobbies / Interests

I am very interested in music, computers, writing, enjoying life, and maximizing my potential. I play the guitar and bass guitar, and I am an avid fan of bands such as Nirvana and Stone Sour. I've also been working with computers for several years and consider myself to be relatively proficient; I've explored computer security, basic programming, hardware/software issues, and various operating systems including DOS, Windows, and Linux.

Current Plans and Future Projects

I like to keep myself busy; realizing and maximizing your own potential is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Here are a couple of the things that occupy my thoughts now:

  1. I am currently preparing for the CompTIA A+ Certification exam. It is a vendor-neutral, industry standard certification for PC technicians.

  2. Reading "Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong" by James Loewren. It is an interesting twist on a traditionally dry subject; the book exposes truths in history that many popular history textbooks "forget to mention" for one reason or another. Read the book to find out some of these reasons.

  3. Putting together an all new website with an enhanced photo and art gallery, more original writings, and updated material. It will even have it's own domain!
