MANSONIC TEMPLE FIRE
172 Church Street, 7:45am. Fire started in basement and worked up
through the kitchen eventually reaching the 3rd floor. The building
was once owned by AC Houghton. The fire was under control by 9am.
194 Ashland Street Fire 1/25/62
Capt. William Pereault and firefighter William Potter being directed
by Chief Girard at and attic fire that left 10 members of 2 families
homeless. The fire broke out after 4pm next to the National Gaurd
Armory on ashland Street. (story Page 1&3

PUMPING OUT
Sprague Electric, Union Street plant is pumped out by the NAFD after
the basement was flodded due to heavy rains. Page 3

Chicago Cubs first basemen Dale Long who lives on Barbour Street
helps North Adams firefighters lay a line. Firefighters Ernie Wise
and Andrew Demo are on ladder.

BAPTIST PARSONAGE FIRE
84 Elmwood AVE 5:05 am. Cause was due to short circut.
