  Joseph and Isaac served with Captain Robert Duet's Company, Colonel 
  Campbell's Virginia Regiment of the Continental line from 7/1/1780 until
  1/1782.
  They fought in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, NC, Joseph was taken 
  prisoner at the Battle of Camden, SC and was later released. They fought 
  their last major engagement at the Battle of Eutaw Springs, SC. 
  
 
 
 
 

Joseph Starkey 1764-1826

   No information on Joseph's wife has been uncovered at present.Joseph
 lived in Loudoun Co. VA until 1816-1817, when he relocated to Shenandoah Co. 
 VA. He lived here until 1825 when he transferred his pension to Ohio. He 
 settled in Belmont Co. OH near his sons who had settled in SE Ohio.

  Gabriel remarried on 7/2/1846 to Mary Cregg or Craig. 
  Mary Craig Starkey b. 1816 in PA, died 2/1/1885
  Gabriel was living in Belmont Co OH in 1827. In 1836 Gabriel and his family 
  moved to Monroe Co. OH. Gabriel served in the Virginia Militia during the 
  War of 1812. 
 
   2. Isaac Starkey b. c 1792 in Loudoun Co. VA d. 10/4/1870 in Jackson Co. 
  WV, m.8/8/1814 in Leesburg, Loudoun Co. VA, to Sabena Waters b. 1796 in VA. 
  Isaac served during the War of 1812.
