Coyotes acquire LW Warriner in trade with Lightning

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA (TICKER) -- The Phoenix Coyotes acquired Todd Warriner from the Tampa Bay Lightning for Juha Ylonen on Monday in a trade of left wings.
Warriner collected 10 goals, 21 points and a career-high 46 penalty minutes in
64 games last season.
The 27-year-old Warriner, who was selected fourth overall in the 1992 draft by Quebec, joins his third team in 19 months. He was acquired by Tampa Bay in November 1999 from Toronto, where he spent his first five NHL seasons.
In 372 career games, Warriner recorded 57 goals, 129 points and 197 penalty minutes.
Ylonen had nine goals and 14 assists in 63 games for the Coyotes. The 29-year-old also helped Finland win the silver medal at the World Championships in Germany, leading the tournament with five goals and nine assists.
In five NHL seasons, Ylonen has 22 goals and 87 points in 261 games.

Both the Coyotes and Lightning missed the playoffs last season.
