This is my mother's father's mother's wedding picture .
She always loved kids and animals, as she had 14 children,
a monkey, a parrot, a canary, a raccoon, an opossum and who-knows-what .
On the farm, they had a hog that produced lots of litters.
My great-grandfather named the sow Bettie for this reason.
My great-grandmother said she always wanted a big family, but her husband said
14 was enough .
