Jen's Story!

The first time I met Don was at the Super Soap softball event in Pennsylvania. We chatted for a few minutes about the fact that we both lived in Southern California and how much we miss the weather, the beach and everything else that makes California so wonderful. Unfortunately, there were so many people there that I really didn't get a chance to talk to him again. So, a few weeks later I made sure that I went to his SOAR appearance in New York and it was there that Don blew my mind. He was so charming and friendly. He even remembered everything about me and asked if I had been to California since he had last seen me. I was thrilled that he remembered me out of so many people at the softball game. When it came time for the auction and they said that pictures taken with Don was one of the items, I flipped. I had to have it and money would not matter. To touch him was all I could think about and I would've spent my life savings on that. Thankfully I didn't have to.

Through the whole photo session he was making jokes and making sure that I felt totally comfortable. He didn't want me to be nervous and he made sure that the photographers took as many photos as I wanted. He wouldn't let them rush me or force me to take pictures that were not what I wanted. He said he'd do whatever I wanted since it was my money. That half-hour was probably the biggest thrill and it tuned me into a Don Jeffcoat fan for life. For that little amount of time I got to see what Don is like as a person, not as an actor or a star and I liked what I saw. I was disappointed and each time I have seen him I have left with the same feeling! He's just great!
