This little stud colt started out so light grey that you couldn't figure out where the spots were with the exception of a sock and maybe on his neck. It didn't matter if you wet him down or not, they just wouldn't show up. It took close to 3 months for the color to start coming in and by the time I sold him at 4 months, with a shave and everything, you could see that he was a creamy colored buckskin and definitely had a bit of white.
