The club, as you see it now, is a result of the collaboration and hard work of many parties. In 1995 a New York fan, Philine Vega, started a small fan club with her friends. Every month for about four months, she snail mailed a newsletter to the thirty members. This newsletter was entitled the "Klesko Kronikles." Due to extreme cost of production, Ms. Vega needed to stop the newsletter. Ms. Vega did, however, make several attempts to work with friends of Ryan's to make an official fan club. At that point Ryan was not interested.
A couple of years later, Charles Atkins and Jennifer Lindner, established the first Unofficial Ryan Klesko Fan Club on the Internet. Unfortunately Charles fell ill and someone demolished their web page. This left all 600+ fans "homeless" and heartbroken.
In July of 1998, by sheer luck, Jennifer and Philine established contact with one another and formulated a plan. The fruit of this plan is the fan club you are looking at now. A new leadership hierarchy has been established. We are still in the process of making this fan club official, so check back often.
Some of our goals for this club are:
*Klesko Photos
Those blue eyes, that smile, the perfect hair style, get a better look at Ryan.
*News on Rhyno
Perhaps the best way to describe this section is the gossip page. However, this section will be kept classy and professional.
*Current Stats
See his tater count, RBI total, etc. Also see how close Ryan is to reaching career milestones.
*Klesko Sightings
Part of the fun of baseball is meeting your favorite player. This section allows fans to show off their close encounters with Ryan.
*Leadership
See who is in charge of this fan club and how to contact us.
*Message Board
Discuss Ryan here!
*Collectors Corner
We all love to collect Ryan's memorabilia. This section will list as complete a listing as possible for collectors.
*Chat Chat real time with fellow Klesko fans.
...More to Come!
*Please note that Bravenet services are in no way affiliated with the Atlanta Braves baseball club.
