-30- Columns
An old journalistic practice was to put the symbol -30- at the end of a story to let the typesetter or editor know that no other information follows. Traditionally, when a journalist leaves a paper through graduation or retirement, they write a final column to say goodbye. These columns are entitled "-30-" columns. Image writers who are seniors include these columns in the last issue.
A funny thing happened on the way to school today.
As June 1 approaches, every senior, including myself, begins to reflect on what the past 13 years of school have done for them or done to them, and how it will effect the rest of their lives.

The varsity softball team ended its season April 28 with a loss to Irving Nimitz in the area finals after 10 innings of play by a score of 2-1. This was the fourth consecutive playoff appearance by the Lady Buffs in their four years of existence.
