Chris and Elizabeth Pena Interview

And a brief comment from a Kansas City critic about Chris in Lone Star:

Finally there are those films and performers that in a just world would be nominated for the sheer artistry of their accomplishment. But this isn't a just world. These were great performances in little-seen films. The people who make up the Academy probably haven't even heard of most of them. But they were among the year's best...:

Best actor: Ewan McGregor, ``Trainspotting''; Chris Cooper, ``Lone Star. ''

NEWS OF NOTE: Chris will be appearing in a feature film later this year-- the Robert Redford-directed "The Horse Whisperer" as Redford's brother. We're looking forward to this!

Also of note: Sam has seen both Great Expectations and Breast Men, and has to admit that the best thing about that particular Dickens take was Chris Cooper's elegantly moving portrayal of Uncle Joe and the featured paintings. No Picassos, but interesting. As for Breast Men-- one only wishes he had some better material to work with... Any one else wanna chime in on this? Email me!

REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE: If there are any Chris fans out there who would like to submit reviews of Chris Cooper's films for inclusion on this web page, PLEASE let me know! I'd appreciate it!
