Very Cool Stuff

You probably came here because you have nothing else to do in this game. You are in for some very cool stuff. There are shortcuts, fun cuts, scenic cuts, cut pictures, and a couple of other cuts. So enjoy. :)

Course 1
  • Get the Wing Cap first, then get the Koopa Shell. Ride all the way up to the top of the mountain. Then jump off the mountain in any direction while holding [A]. You can float all the way down to where ever.
  • To get up the mountain faster with the shell, hop up the right-hand wall of the crevice near the white ramps. That technique makes the trip almost two times shorter.
Course 2
  • If not already known, you could do the side flip + wall kick bit to get the third star.
  • When you're battling Whomp, instead of going around or below him, go through it. When it starts to drop, jump into the bandaged crack correctly and you'll find yourself on top of him.
  • Instead of using the owl to get the fifth star, use the cannon. I'll post a picture of where to aim later on in the year.
  • Get on top of the giant plank while it's standing. After you accomplish that amazing feat, punch or jump + kick the air, facing the islands. A glitch will come upon you in no time flat.
  • Use the owl to drop upon other places, like Star 2.
Course 3
  • Try to shoot to the floating ship from the cannon.
  • Use the koopa shell underwater from the clam near the bob-omb buddy by grabbing it with [B].
Course 4
  • You can long jump the gap of the bridge to Star 4.
  • On the first jump of the slide, with the line of coins in the air, jump a bit to left. You'll land on another part of the slide.
Course 5
  • Triple jump toward the fence by the "tool shed" and wall kick to get to the top. You'll find a 1-up there.
Course 6
  • You can get to the monkey bars faster. Go left from the start. Do the side flip + wall kick bit to the last corner before the gap by the rolling rocks. You'll go through the bars with ease.
  • Go under the elevators when they're going down. When they drop all the way down, Mario will be magically pushed through the platform, to be on top of it.
  • From the island in the cavern, look up in first person view. Through the light beams, you'll see shadows of doors and found stars.
Course 8
  • Inside the pyramid, when you first see a group of Goombas, side flip and wall kick toward the right to get to the pole faster.
Course 10
  • When you open the cannon, you can get to the top of the snowman faster. Go into the cannon and shoot once the cannon stops re-adjusting (do not aim). Then run to the end as fast as you can before it blows you off.
  • To get to igloo quicker, go through the course as if you are going for Star 1. Before you go up the narrow wooden bridge, side flip onto the dull-coloured wall and jump down to the igloo.

  • On the piece of land holding the highest diamond, triple jump toward the grate and a bit toward the wall and then body slide against the wall to get a clean grab on the grate's edge, just in case you don't have the cannon open.
  • Aim the cannon all the way to the top-left. It'll make you hit the imaginary sky and drop back into the cannon.
  • The five tide diamonds, lowest to highest, are to the left.
  • The five secrets, first to last, are to the right.

Course 12
  • Grab the monkey by the fly guy. It'll grab your hat. Just grab it back.
  • You can use the fly guy to twirl to Star 4.
  • You can long jump to Star 6 from the rolling log.

  • Butt stomp the giant Goombas to get blue coins.
  • Crush tiny Koopa the Quick and get a blue coin.
  • Use the Koopa Shell and go to the wind gusts nearby. You'll look like you're surfing in mid-air. Actually, it is.
  • When you're small, on the beach do the side flip + wall kick bit toward the mountain and the place where Koop the Quick is to get to where that Koopa is.
  • The five Itty Bitty Secrets, first to last, are to the left.
  • The three Pipes are to the right.

Course 14
  • From the second gear you come up to, you can long jump to Star 3 and get it.
Course 15
  • You could long jump from the wooden boardwalk to the red coin maze.
  • Draw the fly guy near Star 5 to the "crow's nest" and double jump onto it. Hold [A] and fly safely and quickly to Star 5.
Overall
  • In some courses, you can punch or jump on butterflies and they would turn into a bomb that follows you or a 1-up.
  • Let Mario stand still for about five minutes and he'll start talking in his sleep.
  • Mario can crawl up hills that are almost steep.
  • Grab Bowser's tail. Drop him. Run in front of him and press [B], it will grab his tail again.
  • Outside, use the wing cap and shoot from the cannon to the big tower. Jump into any wall and you'll fall into a black room. Go out by jump through the wall from "outside."
  • Outside, get onto the tower. You can run up the wall pointing at the waterfall. So you can run to the top of the castle and have a point coming out of your head.
  • You can run away from 1-ups that follow you.
  • Try to do a perfect swan dive to the pond from the top of the castle.
  • Go to the bottom of the spiral staircase to the balcony. Hugging the middle of the left wall, double jump and you'll go straight through the ceiling and staircase.
  • Long jump the long, straight staircases.
  • In some levels, throw a bomb a fraction of a second before it explodes to get an unexpected surprise.
  • At the bottom of a steep slope, it is possible to get back up. To do this, press [A] and hold it. Now, whenever you press [B], you will do a kick. Make Mario face the slope, and push the analog stick forward, continually tapping [B]. He will proceed to kick his way up.
