Hello and welcome to my home. My name is Molly McButter and I live in Chilliwack, British Columbia with my proud owners, Peter and Shelley Penner.

I am a pure bread Yorkshire Terrier, born in Edmonds, Washington on August 26, 1988. The first year of my life, I lived in a little town on the west coast of Vancouver Island called Tahsis.

Once we moved to Ladysmith, Shelley was working long hours so I used to go and stay with my Grandma and Grandpa during the day. I became so attached to my Grandpa that I ended up staying with him for seven years. One day last June, Shelley came over and told me that I would be going to stay with Peter and her for a few weeks because Grandma needed to go visit her other kids in Alberta. No one thought I could understand, but I knew my Grandpa had died and gone to heaven and I would have to pull myself together so that when he looked down on me, he would know I was being a good girl.

When my Grandma came home from her visit to Alberta, I could have turned myself inside out, I was so excited. Once Gram saw that I was happy with Shelley and Peter, she suggested that I stay with them as they loved me so much and really would miss me if I left them. I was kind of sad but I understood that Gram had some adjustments to make and it would be pretty lonely for me in that comfy home without Grandpa.

I have adjusted to my new life very nicely and I love to go camping with Shelley and Peter. My biggest complaint is having to sleep in a basket next to their bed. I was always allowed to sleep on the bed with my Grandma and Grandpa. I really shouldn't complain though cause my bed is heated, has a sheepskin blanket and loads of pillows to cuddle into. The stuffed rabbit could go but Shelley thought it would comfort me - little does she know. When Peter goes away, Shelley always takes me into bed so she won't be lonely.

In March of 1998, my Grandma moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta to be close to my Aunt and Uncle. I am really happy for her cause she has lots of family around and won't be lonely without me. I phone her often and keep her up on all my news and we are able to visit each other often so it isn't to bad.
