This site does not have a biography, filmography, lyrics, or photographs if that is what you are looking for, you can find it elsewhere at other sites. This site is dedicated to my collection of books of which I have over 100

I will list them in no particular order and give brief reviews of  my own recollections of each one. Each book will include the title, author, publisher and publication date.

Elvis was born in 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi and died  in 1977, at his home, Graceland, in Memphis, Tennessee.  Between the pages of these books you can learn more about his life, music, movies and tours.  A great way to remember the King of Rock 'n' Roll.  Some of these books are no longer in print and were found in used book stores.  Enjoy!

P S.  These books are not for sale.

Elvis Presley  A Life In Music  The Complete Recording Sessions by Ernst Jorgensen Foreward by Peter Guralnick  St. Martin's Press  New York  1998 Hardcover

This is the newest book in my collection and it is the best book ever published about Elvis' recording career.  Ernst Jorgensen was an Elvis fan in his home country of Denmark and he is lucky enough to be employed by BMG-RCA.  Ernst has access to RCA's archives and gives complete recording schedules for everything Elvis ever recorded.  It includes studio used, dates, times, producer, engineer, musicians, songwriters and the album in which the recording was released. It begins with Elvis' first private recording of  "My Happiness" and "That's When your Heartaches Begin" at Sun Studio in 1953.  The book covers all the EP's, LP's, movie soundtracks, home recordings and ends with Elvis In Concert at Rushmore Civic Center, Rapid City, South Dakota, his last concert.   Ernst includes facts about Elvis during the sessions and offers recollections from some of the musicians.  This is a fascinating look at Elvis at work, a truly great book for all fans interested in the man and his music. Includes  black and white and color photos, discography 1954-1977 and discography 1978-1997.
