A ~*SiMpLe*~ GUIDE TO HTML
Hai! I'm Chibi Usa also known as Rini! There are some people, like me, who need some help with pages! Here are some useful tools to get you started!
LINKS
¤Making a link is really simple!
¤Making a simple link to another page is easy. What's a link, you ask? This is: Go Back To Index.
¤To make that, I typed:
Go Back To Index
¤The "http://scroll.to/sailormoon/" is my homepage URL. A HREF is the code telling the web to make a link. The text in between the the URL and is what the link is to say. I made it say, "GO BACK TO INDEX" and it did. tells the web to end the link code.
¤You just learned how to make a link!
MAIL ME LINKS
¤This is exactly like a link [ explained above ] except in the URL field, you type something different.
¤In the URL part, type 'mailto:"you@youraddress.com"'
¤So, what I do is type: Mail me
¤When I type that, it appears like this: Mail me
¤You just learned how to make a mail me link!
ADDING PICTURES
¤Making pictures appear on your page makes your page look better, and it also makes people enjoy seeing it more. Adding pictures comes in handy for galleries, also!
¤If I wanted to add my picture to this page, it would appear like this:

¤All I typed was:
¤Why didn't I type the whole address? Well, because I do not have any DIRs on my homepage and therefore the page knows I mean https://members.tripod.com/~Sailor_Mouse/title.jpg
¤What are DIRs? DIRs are when you have different sections in your address. I don't use them, I find them confusing, but some people do fine with them. For example, if I wanted to have my FANART page have it's on DIR, I would make one and anme it /fanart/ so it would be https://members.tripod.com/~Sailor_Mouse/fanart/ and if you typed that, it would either be an index page listing all the contents of the DIR, or it would be an index page, like https://members.tripod.com/~Sailor_Mouse/ is. /~Sailor_Mouse/ is my DIR on tripod. Everything after a / is a DIR. Confused? Don't worry, it isn't nessecary.
¤Why did I add align=center after the IMG address? Only because it centers it! You do not have to do that. You can also type align=left or align=right.
LINKED PICTURES
¤Linked pictures are pretty cool, as long as you don't overuse them. Those are where you click on a pciture and it takes you somewhere.
¤Not sure what one looks like?

¤If you click that pciture, it will take you to the main page. Click your back button to get back here, or click the HTML link again.
¤If you know how to make link and picture HTML, then this will be easy!
¤All you do is insert the img address into the link address. Like this:
¤To center this, type: img src="title.jpg" align="center" and also you may add a border! Experiment with it, see if you like it. To add one, type img src="title.jpg" border="1"
¤What does a border look like?

¤How do you make it so that when you move your cursor onto the picture, words pop up? That is called alt. Just add alt="whatever you want" after the IMG address.
THUMBNAILS ~*The easy way*~
¤Usually people will say to make thumbnails you will need a program that allows you to resize pictures. Resize a pic and type this:
¤That's the hard way. This way, the easy way, you don't need anything but a picture, a homepage, and this information.
¤This is what a thumbnail looks like:
¤What I typed to make that, is:
¤Mess around with the WIDTH and HIEGHT numbers for different sizes!
¤You do not have to align it, but you may! You may also add an ALT or BORDER or anything else you might have learned.
ADDING BACKGROUNDS
¤This may be rather dificult at first and you might need to experiment, but in the end, it's worth it!
¤What you type for a background, type:
¤the BODY BGCOLOR can be changed into whatever color you would like to have your page be while your background image loads. Make sure your font is readable with this color! IE: Don't make the background color green and your font green!
¤If your background is a border background, like mine is on this page, you will need to type something a couple times until your font is aligned away from the picture, so we can read your text! What you need to type to do this is:
¤If it is not a border background, then you do not need to ad UL. You may want to add UL to indent! To break off the indent, type:
CHANGING YOUR FONT
¤To change the text color is rather easy. Just type:
¤You do not have to use blue, you may use font color="green", "yellow", "black" or any other color!
¤Changing the font is also easy. It's an Add-On tag, that you have to add on to the font color="blue". Just type: Hii!
¤This will appear as: Hii!
¤You do not have to use Chalk, there are others, also like arial
¤UNDERLINED words. Type: Text
¤BOLD words. Type: Text
¤ITALICED words. Type: Text
¤To center text type:Text
¤To put text right-aligned: Text
¤To put text left=aligned: Text
What else is there?
