April - May - June 2001

Kelly and Andrew's wedding was a beautiful ceremony and reception in Swansea, Wales on June 6th. Jenny and Laura were in Wales and England from May 31 to June 14; Pat, Ron and Katy were there from June 1 to 9. Hen and Rooster parties took over some of the bars in Swansea June 2. The Welsh reception was in Crag-y-nos Castle.
We rented a very nice 4 bedroom semi on the waterfront in Mumbles for the week. Very close to fish n chip shops and lots of pubs. There is a traditional 'Mumbles Mile' where participants start at one end of main street and try to down a shot/pint at every pub. I think there are about 20 pubs along the route.

Their Mississauga reception on June 17th was also a great success at the Bradley House grounds. Photos are on Kelly & Andrew's Wedding page. We had a marquis tent, catering company, sound system, bouncy castle and a candy floss machine for the event. The weather was great. Food was excellent, from A Catered Affair and Ruth Rioji (sushi).

On top of all the pre-wedding preparation, Ron's company marchFIRST declared bankruptcy in April. Fortunately, divine inc of Chicago purchased several marchFIRST offices including Toronto and there was a management vacancy at the Toronto office which Ron filled. divine's Toronto office is at One University Avenue, right beside the Royal York and across from Union Station. Easy for commuting.

Pat continues to have constant pain with her right elbow/wrist and it undergoing several tests to try to determine the cause as well as maintaining regular physiotherapy visits. She is continuing Schutzhund training with Killian, who is coming along well.
