Email: salmanhabib@earthlink.net This is my personal home page. My official home page is at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) where I am a staff member in the Elementary Particles and Field Theory Group (T-8). T-8 is one of the research groups in the Theoretical Division at Los Alamos. I obtained my undergraduate degree at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and my Ph. D. in 1988 from the University of Maryland, both in physics. My thesis adviser at Maryland was Bei-Lok Hu. I was a post-doctoral fellow with Bill Unruh at the University of British Columbia before arriving at Los Alamos in 1991, first as a post-doctoral fellow in the groups T-6 (Theoretical Astrophysics) and T-8, later becoming a staff member in 1994. |

My interests include martial arts (mainly Goju Ryu), rock climbing and bouldering, whacking tennis, squash, and table tennis balls, music and audio systems, and whatever is going on in India, especially the Indian sci/tech base. I'll be working on this page as time permits -- Under (Very Slow) Construction! |
