Sam is in her thirties. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and is about 5'10. She is a widow and has a daughter, Chloe, who is age 7. She worked as a profiler for the FBI until she was forced into early retirement by an obsessed serial killer named Jack. "Jack-of-all-trades" is the man responsible for her husband's death in 1992. Sam and Chloe lived out in the country with a childhood friend of hers named Angel until her good friend Bailey Malone convinced her out of retirement. Bailey and Sam then created the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF), which is all set up in Atlanta G.A.

Bailey R. Malone

Bailey is 48 years old, has brown hair and brown eyes. He's a former Marine trained in knife fighting. He's a Senior FBI Agent and the Special Agent in Charge for the VCTF. He's divorced and has two daughters, Frances and Ariana.

John Grant

Grant is formely known as John O'Doyle. He's a former detective of the Atlanta P.D. He and Nathan Brubaker are very close friends. This guy is tall, handsome, and has a great sense of humor. He is built, with brown hair and blue eyes. John's single, and used to seem interested in Sam, but he has also shown some interest in Sam's friend Angel.

Nathan Brubaker

Nathan is an ex-corporate lawyer, Atlanta P.D. detective, and John Grant's former partner. He's is into restoring antique cars. He's married, but estranged from his wife, Michelle, who lives in Denver.

Grace Alvarez

Grace is a forensic examiner. She is married, and has recently had a child. She's Hispanic, has long, wavy brown hair and brown eyes. She used to work for the Atlanta Police Department.

George Fraley

George is a notorious computer hacker. He's Jewish and into "New Age" rituals. He's openly gay and has a partner named Rich Warren. He's also a former employee of the Atlanta P.D.

Angel Brown

Angel is the very loyal friend of Sam's. She moved to Atlanta with Sam when Jack began to stalk her. She's a metal sculptor and a teacher. Angel's single, and she is interested in John Grant. She is like a second mother to Chloe because she takes care of her whenever Sam is away.

Chloe Waters

Chloe is Sam's seven year old daughter. She's an outgoing little girl, who loves to spend time with her grandparents and her German Sheperd, Denzel. She is a good kid that never seems to get in trouble.

"Jack"

The infamous "Jack-of-all-trades" is the man that is tearing Sam's life apart. He has made attemps on the lives of just about everyone who is close to Sam. He is obsessed with her. He has pictures of her everywhere and is always saying that she belongs to him. Jack leaves messages behind at the crime scenes that can be seen with a black light. On some occasions, he has hired a professional killer to do his dirty work.
