Samuel Garth

Samuel was considered ¨too smart for his own good¨ by his teachers when he was young. He was always looking into topics considered ¨unsuitable¨ for children. In 1952, this covered a lot of topics. By the time he turned 17 in 1959, he had developed an unquenchable lust for occult knowledge.

By pure chance, he stumbled upon a blood ritual that would summon a ¨like-minded supernatural being¨ to him. He made the preparations and under a full moon slit his wrists, stood in the middle of a pentagram and chanted in an ancient tongue he didn't understand. He ended up summoning a Tremere. He thought the pentagram would protect him from physical harm, but he didn't count on the Tremere being capable of mentally lifting him out of the pentagram and taking him to the local Chantry.

Samuel was Embraced a week later and sent to Denver for teaching. Once again, his attitude toward learning and seeking out ¨forbidden¨ knowledge got him in trouble. In 1971 he was sent to Vienna for judgment after attempting to summon a Changeling.
