CrossConnect is an alternative non-commercial literary publication for a
new generation of information-age writers. Our mission -- like our
name-- is one of connection. CrossConnect seeks to promote and document
both the emergent creative artists and established artists who have made
the transition to the new technologies of the information age. We are a
broad review seeking to publish a refreshing range of work which actively
        challenges literary and artistic conventions.

                           the University of Pennsylvania and
                             the Writers House Program

CrossConnect is a non-profit journal for contemporary art and writing
published in cooperation with the University of Pennsylvania's Writer's
House Program, based in Philadelphia. Our all-volunteer staff is headed
by senior editors and business managers whose "day jobs" are in various
University departments. To produce CrossConnect, the senior staff works
together with student editors from Penn and a grassroots network of
independent contributing editors and technical gurus throughout the U.S.

We are pleased to have the support of the Penn English Department and the
University of Pennsylvania Press. Selected CrossConnect contributors have
been invited to read at Penn's Writers House (call to discuss transportation
$$, housing, fellowships). Likewise, we actively solicit much of our work
from participants in Writers House programming.

We look forward to hearing from you!
