Death Poems

Beware his Love

Light glints of a cold, sharp knife
a mind reviews the events of life.
The breath of death comes near
as a heart trembles in fear.
She had been such a fool
to love a man so hard and cruel.
He splattered her blood in a work of art
ripping out her beating heart.
His eyes shine like cold steel
he’s a man that can never feel.
Of men he was the smartest
and has become a vile artist.
Their blood becomes his paint
the women whom his touch did taint.
It’s all his mind can think to do
maybe next he’ll come for you...

Her

 Sadly, softly, sweetly
he touches her smooth cheek.
tentatively, tenderly, tearfully
he kisses her silken lips.
Loosely, lightly, lovingly
he squeezes her limp hand.
Silently, slowly, solemnly
he gives her a red rose.
Brokenly, blankly, blindly
he watches them lower her.
Understandingly, unmindfully, unhappily
he turns and runs.
He can’t watch the dirt fall
he loved her more than all.
So he just had to run away
as they buried her that day.
