Ranma is the tragedy stricken hero of the series. When splashed with cold water, he turns into a girl. He trained in the art of Kempo under his father, and will someday carry on the legacy of the Tendo Anything Goes School of Martial Arts. Ranma has a knack for winning at anything that has to do with martial arts, from fighting to martial arts rythmic gymnastics, he will always find a way to come out on top. This is illustrated very well, in the episode called "Breaking Point", where he had to think of new strategies to beat his powered up opponent, Ryoga. And Ranma's not lacking in the popularity department, either. in boy form, he's got three fiancees, and in girl form, he's got guy's drooling over him, including upper classmen Tatewaki Kuno. Ranma is the rebel type, always getting into trouble, fighting, and talking back.
