Misato Katsuragi, the one who gives the orders.
Well, only to the Evas. She's the operations director, Operations planning
manager, and also Shinji's guardian. Has a very optimistic look over life,
and when she's not bar-hopping, settling arguments between Shinji and Asuka,
she's making crucial discisions that usually mean the difference between
winning, or the annihilation of the human race. Quite a mouthful, ne? Not
only is she a showoff, but she owns that kickass penguin, PenPen, which
resides in one of her two refrigerators. (The other one has mostly beer
in it) Nearly died in the second impact, her father risked his life to
save her. (I won't go into details) Since then, she has sworn to kill all
of the angels. Over a little time, she has developed quite an attachment
to Shinji, she treats him more like a little brother rather than someone
she has to take care of. Shinji, in turn, treats her like a friend.
