Undying Love

Chapter 10

"Cara! Get down here! Taylor is waiting!" yelled Robin.

"I'm coming!" Cara yelled. She took one more quick look in the mirror. She looked great. Her hair was pulled half up into a clip on the back of her head. She was wearing black flare pants and a white baby top with a black mesh button-down shirt over it. The white shirt was just short enough so you could see about a half and inch of her stomach. She looked down at her shoes. They were black paten-leather heels with a belt across the front. Cara grabbed her purse and went downstairs. Her mother met her at the bottom.

"He is in the foyer. Here is some money." said Robin, smiling at her daughter.

"Thanks," said Cara, hugging her mom. "What time do you want me home at?"

"Oh, don't worry about it! Go have fun! Just be home before 1!"

Cara smiled and kissed her mother on the check.

"You know this is your reward from me for getting into Mythe Beth's!"

"Bye mom." she said and turned the corner into the foyer. She stopped when she saw Taylor. He looked georgous! His hair was hanging down. He was wearing a black shirt with a red one open and over it. His pants were gray dockers, but looked like jeans. He was wearing black Doc. Martins that were obviously new or haven't been worn much.

They both smiled and walked up to eachother. "You look fabulous," said Taylor, almost in a whisper.

Cara smiled and looked down. "So do you."

They both giggled at the way they were acting. "Come on," said Taylor. "Isaac is paciently waiting for us!" They walked out the door and into Isaac's white 97 Saturn.

"Hey, Cara!" said Isaac when they got into the car.

"Hey Isaac." The radio was turned onto the local popular station. Cara new the songs and who sung them, but she didn't know all the words. Taylor obviously remembered that she didn't listen to this music and asked Isaac to change the station.

The whole ride there they were talking about the movie. They were going to see I Know What You Did Last Summer. Taylor knew the guy in the box office, so he could get tickets without having a parent. The ride was only about five minutes long. Isaac stopped on the corner to let them out.

"Bye you two love birds!" yelled Isaac as he drove off. They both laughed.

"You have to get used to that. They tease me about everything."

"Yea. So does my dad." said Cara. Taylor looked at her expression on her face. He wondered what happened to her dad.

Cara could almost read Taylor's mind. "My parents are divorced." she said.

"Oh," said Taylor. He didn't know how she was taking it, so he didn't know what to say. He bought the tickets and they walked inside. Cara looked at her watch. Still 30 minutes until the movie started. She grabbed Taylor's arm and sat him down on a bench. She turned and sat in indian style, facing him. He stradled the bench so he was facing her.

"Taylor," Cara began. "If there is anything you want to know about me, just ask. I don't talk about my private life very often, but if you ask me something, I'll tell you. It won't offend me."

They sat in silence for a second. Finally Taylor looked up at her. "There is one thing I would like to know."

"Yes?" Cara looked into his big blue eyes.

"Why... Why do you hate Marie so much?" he asked.

Cara forced a smile. She was glad he didn't ask her about something else. She sighed. "Before my parents got divorced, me and Jacob were best friends. His mother would come over to my house alot to drop him off or something. She had long drawn-out coversations with my father alot. When my parents got divorsed, he went to go live with Marie and Jacob. I was too young to understand the fact that my parents weren't in love anymore. So I thought that Marie had stolen my father away from me. I actually thought that she was a witch or something and she was hurting my father. I obviously grew out of it and leaned that that wasn't true. I finally realized that my father loved Marie and I started to exept that. Then one day I saw my dad packing up his stuff and getting in the car. I ran over to him and asked him where he was going. Then I looked up at him and he was crying. Tears rolling down his face, he said that Marie didn't love him anymore and he was leaving. I saw him drive off five years ago. I haven't seen him drive back yet."

"You haven't seen him since?" asked Taylor.

"No. To this day I still blame Marie for sending him away." Cara turned and put her legs down on the ground. Taylor turned to sit sholder to sholder with her. He looked at her. She was sitting with her face in her hands. Taylor inched closer to her and pulled her hair out of her face. She lifted her face to look at his. Thank god, he thought. She wasn't crying.

Cara stood up and smiled. She stood right infront of Taylor. "I'm sorry. We are here to have a good time, and god damnit, we are going to have a good time if it kills me!" She smiled at Taylor and grabbed his hands. She pulled him up off of the bench. Their faces were about an inch away from eachother. Suddenly Taylor pulled Cara over to the doorway of the movie theatre. Cara went to go open the door, but Taylor held her back.

"I'm sorry about your dad." he said.

Cara smiled. "So am I." she said. Taylor went to go open the door and this time it was her turn to pull him back. She hugged Taylor and kissed him gently on the lips. She grabbed his hand and together they went into the theatre.
