Undying Love

Chapter 12

Taylor and Cara walked out of the movie theatre the exact same way they walked in, hand in hand. They both loved the movie. Cara looked at her watch. It was 8:30. She didn't want this day to end.

"Why don't we go get something for dinner?" suggested Taylor as they walked out of the building.

"Dinner?" asked Cara. She didn't want to have dinner. But if it was the only way that she could stay with Taylor, it was worth it. "Okay," she said. They walked hand in hand to the resturaunt in the shopping center. It was called Shea Martins. Cara had never heard of it, and she hoped that Taylor would let her get away just having a salad.

They walked in and it was very dark. It looked like an expensive resteraunt. They both went up to the waiter who was seating people. The man hardly looked up from what he was doing.

"How many?" he asked.

"Um, two." said Taylor. It was obvious.

"Smoking or non?" the waiter asked. Cara tried to hide her giggle.

"Non," said Taylor, kind of impatiantly.

"Right this way," the man said. He led them to a table by a window with two little booths. They both sat down and the waiter started spating off the specials and things. Neither one was paying attention. They were to busy laughing at the man. He looked like a zombie. It was like he was reciting the same monolauge for the 1,000 time in the past hour. He set the menus down infront of them both and walked away.

"Enthusiastic, too!" said Cara.

"He didn't even ask us what we wanted to drink!" said Taylor.

Cara looked around. There were alot of people there. She was surprised they didn't have to wait to be seated. "Are you noticing all of these people that are staring at us?" she asked quietly.

Taylor looked straight into Cara's eyes and took both of her hands from across the table. "No," he said. "I can't get my eyes off of you."

Cara blushed and looked down in her lap. Then a new watriess came over to the table.

"Hi," she said. "My name is Amanda and I will be your waitress for the evening. Can I start you out with some drinks?"

"Sure," said Taylor. "I'll have some Mineral Water."

"Okay, and for you, young lady?" she asked.

"Um, I'll just have a glass of water," she said.

The waitress wrote both orders down. "Okay, I'll get those right out you." she said and walked off.

"Now, that is more like it." said Taylor quietly.

Cara smiled at him and started laughing. "What?" he asked.

"Nothing," she said. "It's just..." she looked to the side of her and laughed again.

"What? It's just what?" Taylor was giggling now just because of her.

"Those girls! They look like they are about to kill me!" Cara was really laughing now.

Taylor looked to where she was talking about. There was a table of five or six teenage girls sitting in a both next to them. They were all dressed up, and it looked like the both next to them held their parents. The girls spotted Taylor looking at them, and they all smiled and waved. Taylor turned to look at Cara and laughed.

"Does this happen alot?" Cara asked. She kept glancing over at the table making sure the girls weren't going to get up and attack her, or something.

"No," said Taylor. "But then again, I have never been out with a beautiful girl like you before, So there was no reason for anyone to get jealous." Taylor smiled and looked once more at the table. All of a sudden he got up and slid next to her. He didn't want to scare her or anything, so he kissed her on the cheek. Cara looked at him and smiled. She put her hands on the side of his arms and kissed him back, on the lips. She glanced over at the table once more.

"Are they still looking at us?" whispered Taylor.

Cara giggled. "More than ever!" They both laughed. Taylor leaned over to kiss her once more. She kissed him back, deepening it. Then the waitress walked up. Taylor slid back into his own seat.

"What can I get for you tonight?" asked the waitress, smiling.

Cara looked up at her. "I'll have a salad." she said.

"Small or large?"

"Small. With no dressing." said Cara. The waitress wrote down her order and looked to Taylor.

"I'll have a steak sandwich," he said.

"Okay! Your orders will be up shortly!" said the waitress as she walked off.

Taylor looked at Cara. "Are you sure that's all you want to eat?" he asked.

"Don't worry! I'm fine!" snapped Cara.

"Okay," he said. "I was just asking."

Cara smiled. "I'm sorry. Yes, that's all I want to eat. Let's change the subject."

"Um, okay. Zac told me you got in to your dance studio."

"Yea! I found out today! My mom called and I have my first practice tomorrow."

"For what?"

"Um, I think jazz. I have the schedule at home. I have a class every day from 5:00 to 8:00 and sometimes I have morning classes, too."

"Wow. That's a busy schedule! Are you gonna get homeschooled?" asked Taylor.

"Yea. I've had a tutor for a while. But this year I am going to be tutored everyday instead of just a week every three months or something."

"It's alot of fun." said Taylor. He grabbed onto Cara's hands again. He didn't know why, but for some reason he couldn't stand to be apart from her. He had never felt like this before. He had to try with all of his might to keep from pulling her off to the side and just making out with her right there.

They talked for a while, the food finally coming. They talked about music, Taylor's brothers, Jacob, Cara's family, everything. It was the best night of both their lives. They decided to just walk home, since it wasn't very far. The whole way home they held hands. At about 11:00 they finally got to Cara's front porch.

"Thank you," said Cara. "I had a great time."

"So did I." said Taylor. They stood looking at eachother for a moment. Then Taylor broke the silence.

"Cara, I know I have only known you for a few days, but it seems like I have known you forever. I have to tell you, I have never before felt the way I do right now. It's like... I really like you. Hell, I think I might even be in love with you." He looked down at the floor. He didn't want to see what Cara was thinking. He wished now that he didn't say that.

"Really?" she asked quietly.

"Yea," he said.

Cara grabbed both of his hands and looked into his eyes. They were gorgous. He leaned over to kiss her. Their lips met, and Cara wraped her arms around his neck. He put his hands on her waist and they stood there for what seemed to be an eternity. Just kissing. Finally Taylor pulled away. "I have to go," he said, and started to walk off.

"Wait," Cara said, grabbing his arm. He turned around to face her. "I love you, too." she said. Taylor came closer and embraced her. "This is the happiest moment of my life," he whipered in her ear.
