Undying Love

Chapter 14

"Lauren, I gotta go! It's 12:30!" Cara had been talking to her old best friend for an hour and a half. She had planned it out perfectly. As soon as she got inside from her walk she had gotten ready to go. Then she called Lauren so she could spend the rest of her time talking to her. They had talked about everything that had been going on down there in Florida. And of course, Cara mentioned that she was going steady with Taylor Hanson. Lauren totally flipped.

"Okay. I will call you within the week to see if we can get together." said Lauren.

"Bye! Tell everyone I said hi!" said Cara. She hung up with Lauren and trotted over to the Hansons' house. Jessie answered the door.

"Hi Cara! Are you going with my brothers to their test?" she asked as soon as she opened the door.

"Test?" asked Cara, stepping inside.

"Yea!" said Jessie. "Mommy said that they are going somewhere to answer questions."

Cara giggled and picked up Jessie. "No, Jessie. It's not a test. It is called an interview and it is when people ask your brothers questions and then their answers get put in a magizine so everyone can read them," she explained.

"Oh," she said. Just then Zac walked into the room. Cara put Jessie down so she could go finish her lunch.

"Hey, my man!" said Cara walking over to Zac giving him a high five.

"Hey! You ready?" he asked.

"Yea!" she said.

"Cool. Come on, lets go outside and wait for them. There are too many people in this house!" Zac said practically running out the door.

Cara grabbed a basketball that was laying on the lawn and started making free throws. One by one, she made them all.

"You can play basketball?" Zac asked, a little stunned.

"Sure! That's all I ever did in Phis Ed last year!" Cara threw the ball to Zac. He went for a basket and made it, right as Taylor, Isaac, and Walker came outside.

"You two ready to go?" asked Walker, getting in the car.

Zac opened the door ad crawled over to the window seat. He was such a sweetie, she thought. He wasn't one of those annoying brothers that would taunt you until your face turned blue about liking his brother. He actually liked the fact that his brother had a girlfriend.

Taylor motioned for Cara to get in. She took her seat in the middle of the two, taking Taylor's hand and leaning against him once they were settled. Isaac and Walker sat in the front. The ride was only about 15 minutes. Walker and Cara talked most of the time, with the guys entering the convorsation when they felt like it. Walker basiclly wanted to know about Cara and what she did before she moved to Tulsa. Their convorsation was over just as they pulled into the driveway. Cara could see the mobs of girls being held back by policemen. She smiled to herself. She decided to let Taylor walk in on his own. He might not want all of his fans to know he had a girlfriend. But she was wrong. As soom as Cara got out of the car, Taylor grabbed her hand. She smiled at him, making sure it was okay. It was.

As soon as they got up to the crowd, Walker whispered something to Taylor, and he went off to sign autographs. Isaac did the same, while Zac was introducing himself and Cara to all of the girls. He was "The mighty Zac Hanson" and Cara was "The mighty Zac Hanson's wife." It was funny to see the looks on all of the girls faces. Espesially when They all three turned to wave goodbye and Taylor grabbed Cara's hand to walk inside.

They had to walk down alot of hallways that looked exactly the same. It looked to Cara like they were going around in circles. But she was pretty sure that the lady escorting them new where she was going. They finally got to the room where the interview session would be held.

Zac plopped down on the couch. "Water! I need water! I have walked forever and now I must have water!" He acted like he was chocking. As soon as he was done, he sprawled out on the couch and pretended to die. Cara saw this as the perfect opportunity. She walked over to the couch and sat right on Zac's back.

"Ah! Help me! I'm being held hostage by a midget!" Zac yelled right after the press walked in.

"Hey!" said Cara and slapped Zac on the back of the leg. "Now appologize!"

Taylor, Isaac, and Walker couldn't help but laugh. It was once in his life when Zac was being told what to do, instead of the other person.

"Looks like you got yourself in pretty deep this time, son," said Walker. Cara glanced over at the people sitting at the tables in the tiny room. They were writting down everything that was going on! She quickly got up and sat down next to him.

Zac glanced at Cara and then to where she was looking, wondering why she got up so suddenly. He smiled and leaned over to whisper in her ear. "They always do that. Just act natural. They write down everything." She looked at him and smiled. Relaxing a little more, she slapped him upside the head.

"Hey!" said Zac, but didn't do anything because it didn't hurt.

The interview started and Taylor sat next to Cara, Cara leaning on Taylor, their hands intertwined. They could tell that the whole time the press was looking at them and wondering what was going on. Finally they asked.

"Taylor, are you and this young lady going steady?" asked a small woman.

Taylor looked at Cara and smiled. "I guess you could say that," he said, and kissed her when no one was looking.

They questions seemed to go on forever. Cara looked at her watch. It was four o'clock. She leaned over to show Zac, so he could know that they were there forever, too. He glanced at her watch and motioned for her to follow him. He walked over to Walker and asked if him and Cara could go get a soda.

"We will be back in five munutes," said Zac, walking out the door. The press went crazy and of course started asking questions about why they left, where they were going, and why Zac went with Cara.

They walked down the hall trying to find a soda machine. "Pay attention to where we are going. This place lookes exactly the same." said Cara, following Zac.

"I know. But I know I saw... Ha! There it is." Zac ran up to the soda machine.

"This is strange," said Cara. "Is this how interviews are always run? People writting down your entire life?"

"Sometimes," said Zac, pulling his drink from the machince. Then he got one for Cara. "It is usually run like this, but sometimes you only have one person interviewing you. Either way you feel like one of those science experements that people put behind one-way glass and just watch for hours and hours."

Cara smiled. She gave Zac a hug. Zac looked at Cara, confused.

"What was that for?" he asked.

"Just for being you!" she said, pushing his sholder forward to go back to the room.

"Saying as I'm so cute and all!" he said, grabbing the handle of the door and opening it.

Cara walked in and kicked his butt. "You wish," she said and sat back down next to Taylor. She gave Him a few sips and answered a few questions about herself and her and Taylor. Finally, at 5:30, the session was over. They all got up and shook the presses hands. Cara was impressed at their politness. Especially Zac. She knew he was sick of this and wanted to get home.

It took them about twice as long to find their way out, since they didn't have anyone to show them where to go. But they finally got out and passed the mobs of girls. They didn't have to sign anything this time, so they went strait to the car. Taylor pulled Cara around to the side where no one was. He kissed her and gave her a hug.

"How do you think this will effect your fan club?" asked Cara.

"I don't know. But that doesn't matter. Nothing is going to keep me from you." He smiled and kissed Cara one last time before they were practically pulled into the car by Zac.
