Undying Love

Chapter 6

After a few hours of shopping and prasing Cara on how well she did at her audition, they decided to get sone lunch and head home since Brent was sopposed to be there to help them unpack that afternoon. They all walked into the Picadilly Cafe.

"Now, since Cara did such a great job this morning, I will pay for everyone," said Diana.

"Wow! Thanks for being good, Cara! Usually we have to pay for our own lunch!" said Zac.

Cara smiled at him. She had been really quiet the whole morning. Even though everyone thoght she did a great performance, Cara had noticed things like her leaps not being as strong and her kicks not as high. She decided even though she hadn't eaten since the night before, when she had a salad, she wasn't going to get anything.

Taylor saw that Cara was lagging back, and walked over to her. "Are you okay? You haven't said much today" he said sounding very concerned.

Cara smiled. "I'm fine. Just thinking about my audition today. I really want to get into that studio. But I have a feeling if any of the judges had ever seen me dance before, they would have scored me lower this time."

"Why do you say that?" Taylor asked picking up a tray and dragging it along the counter. "It was great! I mean, really. We have been saying that all day, but it is really true. I have never seen anyone dance like that!"

"Well, thank you. But it wasn't as good as it could have been. I don't know what was wrong, but something was."

"Nah, you looked beautiful out there." Taylor said. He saw Cara blush and smiled. She was beautiful on stage and not. He just wished he could tell her that.

"Thanks," she said.

"What can I get you, sir?" the lady behind the counter asked him."

Um, a chicken breast and some macaroni."

"And for you, miss?" she asked Cara.

"Oh, nothing for me, thanks."

Taylor looked at her. "Are you sure..."

"I'm fine." she said, and walked off to leave Taylor by himself. She didn't want to be mean, but she hated people questioning the fact that she wasn't hungry. She sighed and stopped to wait for Taylor.

"Sorry," she said when he caught up to her. "It's just that..."

"Don't worry about it." he said and smiled. "Look, there they are." he pointed to the table with the rest of their party and sat down next to eachother.

"It took you long enough!" said Zac smiling at Taylor.

"Cara, are you not hungry?" asked Diana. Aw, man, she thought. I can't be mean to her.

"No, I'm fine." was all she said

"Okay." said Diana

An hour flew by very quickly. Robin looked at her watch and almost spit out her drink. Zac couldn't help but giggle.

"Cara, dear. We have to go. Brent will be at the house at any moment!" Robin stood up and threw her things away. The rest of the table stood up and walked to the parking lot.

"Well, I had fun today," said Diana. "Maybe we can do it again sometime."

"Yea!" exclaimed Zac.

Robin laughed at his enthusiasm. "Sure. Real soon."

"Bye Cara, and one more good job!" Diana hugged Cara. In the three hours they spent together, the families had gotten really close.

"Bye," she said. She walked over to the boys and gave each one a small hug, and saying her goodbyes at the same time.

"We will call you later, okay?" Taylor questioned.

"Okay." she said. And with that, they were off.
