Undying Love

Chapter 7

Dear Lauren,

Hey my love! Wutz up? Is everything going okay down there? Things are pretty good up here. My new house is the best. And get this, my mother let me have the master bedroom! It is so cool! It has two walk-in closets and it's own bathroom! It is awsome! We also have a WAY huge pool. I havn't gone in it, yet, though. We just got all of our furniture put up, thanks to Uncle Brent and the unexpected movers. I still have tons of boxes to empty. But, hey. At least it will give me something to do! And you will never believe who lives next door to me. HANSON! That's right! They are all so cool! I have only been here for two days, and already we are way close. Well, that's about all from around here. Don't forget to write me back and tell me whats up with everyone! See ya!

Love,
Cara

Cara stuffed the letter into an envelope and filled it out. She ran out side to stuff it in the mailbox. She forgot she was only in a grey sports bra and a pair of green shorts until it was too late. She saw Taylor rollerblading over to her.

"Wow! Is this how you go out of the house all of the time?"

Cara smiled. "You wish! I was unpacking. There are so many boxes up there in my room! I will never get them unpacked!"

"Well, I can help you if you want," offered Taylor. He smiled to let Cara know that he wanted to and wasn't just being nice.

"Sure. Why not. My mother went to the store, but she will be home pretty soon. Why don't you go put your rollerblades away and come back. I don't think my mother would be too happy to see dirt marks all over our new white carpet!"

"Okay. I will be right back." Taylor skated to his front porch and undid his rollerblades. He opened the door and pulled out a pair of Doc Martins. He sat on hs porch and laced up his shoes while Cara just stood there watching him. He was georgous. And she absolutly loved his long blonde hair that was falling over his face. He stood up and ran back over to Cara.

"Okay." Taylor smiled.

Cara just laughed and led him up into her room.

"God! There are alot of boxes! Are you one of those people who saves absolutly everything?" Taylor questioned.

"No. I think 3 of these are full of CDs and tapes, and maybe 3 or 4 filled with junk I got from my goodbye party. The rest are clothes and pictures and little things to fill up space on my dressers and desk."

"You mean to tell me three of these boxes are filled with CDs?" Taylor was amazed.

"Yea. Well, what can I say. I can't live with out music!" she pulled out all of the boxes that were labeled "MUSIC" and opened them.

"So, what kind of music do you listen to?" Taylor was interested to see if they had anything in common.

"Oh, really anything. Most of my music is showtunes. You know, like Les Miserables and Chess and Jeckel & Hyde and things like that. I am really into Broadway stuff."

"Was there a radio station that played that kind of stuff where you used to live?"

"No. Actually, I don't listen to the radio that much. I don't know about up here, but back in Florida, the radio station I listened to played like 2 songs an hour. I like some rock, some jazz, some weird stuff."

"What do you mean weird stuff?" Taylor was looking through her CDs. They must have been in order of category because the whole box was filled with Broadway music. Things he had never even heard of. Like She Loves Me and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.

"Um, like Hanson!" she giggled at his face. "I'm kidding! Like Enya and things. Weird stuff. The only way I will listen to it is if I can dance to it."

"He rolled his eyes sarcasticlly. "Figures!"

"Hey!" Cara slaped him on the knee.

"Ow! That hurt! Now you are in for it!" Taylor stood up and pulled Cara up. He grabbed her around the waist and started tickling her.

"No...Stop...Taylor...Stop!" said Cara between laughter.

"Well, okay. I think you have learned your lesson!" He let her go.

Cara turned to him and pulled her hair out of her ponytail since it was a mess anyway. "I have!" She noticed Taylor was staring at her. "What?" she asked.

Taylor walked toward her. "You have georgous hair," he said.

Cara blushed. "Thanks," she said.

"Why don't you ever leave it down? I'm serious, it is beautiful." he got even closer to her and wraped his hand around her bare waist. "But then, you always look beautiful." There. He said it. Now it was time to wait and see what would happen.

"Really?" she asked.

'No,' he thought. 'I'm kidding you!' He leaned forward and brushed his lips to hers. He didn't want to take anything to quickly. He really liked her.

Cara looked at him. She looked into his blue eyes and put her arms around his neck. She touched his blonde hair. She pulled him closer and kissed him again, deepening the kiss this time. All of a sudden, they heard the front door slammed open. Cara and Taylor pulled away from eachother, Cara tying up her hair once again.

"Will your mom care if I'm here?" he asked almost silently.

"I hope not," she said and grabbed his arm, pulling him downstairs. "Hi mom!"

"Hi honey!" she looked at Taylor. "Oh, hello Taylor. What a pleasent surprise! Why don't you two help me bring in the grocerys?"

"Sure!" said Cara and followed Taylor out of the door.

They got outside and looked at eachother. "So, what did that mean?" asked Taylor after a few seconds.

"I don't know. What do you think it meant?" she asked. They smiled at eachother and grabbed the grocerys.

Right before they got inside Taylor stopped Cara. "So," he said, smiling at her. "Do you want to go to the movies with me tomorrow?"
