There with HAIR!

Sib and his hair at PBLamar's studio, Fall 1973

Sibley Smith met Tioga Joe on stage as a fellow cast member, a fellow "tribesman", in the 1974 Northeast Louisiana University production of "HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical" by James Rado, Gerome Ragni & Galt MacDermot. Hair had long been a bid deal with Sib (and with so many in authoritative positions with whom he'd had encounters over the course of the preceding decade). Tioga Joe seemed to embody so much of the spirit of HAIR, the play. But, well, separate ways, separate lives, ... you know the routine. However, recently the two, through the benefit of newfound technology, have been engaging in sometimes extensive dialogue on a topic of mutual interest: HAIR, reflecting a time, affecting a time. Such will be the topic (or at least the theme) of the postings on and linked to this page. So, if you're interested, check back often and see how this HAIR [page] grows! ---SJS2
