Mechwarrior

During our party's adventures (not only in TerrorTech) we found out that the weapon and equipment tables in the rules are very incomplete.
O.K. There were the standard guns, the tools needed to survive etc.
But we switch on the TV and see how today's (fictional) superagents use grappling hooks and unconventional weapons.
Another look into the rulebook. Then we ask ouselves:
"Neither the Inner Sphere nor the Clans have the technology to invent a grappling hook / the unconventional weapon X?"
But I think that a race that travels through star systems and uses Mechs for warfare can produce this kind of equipment.

So much for the introduction.
