Thought For Today

18-Jan-2004

Mark 11:17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED OF ALL NATIONS THE HOUSE OF PRAYER? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Read Mark 11:15-16-17. I read it and came to this conclusion: To buy, sell, or trade anything in the house of God is a sin. Jesus cast out those that bought and sold in the temple, he overthrew their tables, because they had made God's house a den of thieves. Is this not also true today? How many times have you been in a church where someone sets up a table to sell book, tapes, CDs or a variety of other things? These book, tapes, and CDs are telling people how to get closer to God, or how to obtain a miracle from God! How dare they sale them in God's house!

Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have recieved, freely give.

The verse above tells me that we are to freely distribute the word of God! To sell books, tapes, or CDs, especially in God's house is wrong! We need to get back to the true word of God. The church has allowed the world to enter in into the sanctuary, and the church now needs to remove the world from God's house.

Mark 11:17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED OF ALL NATIONS THE HOUSE OF PRAYER? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
