Thought For Today

20-Mar-2004

The Holy Bible King James version:

Revelation 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

My interpretation:

Revelation 2:2 I know the things that you have done, and how much work you have accomplished, and how you had great patience to get this work done. I also know that you cannot stand to be around those that are evil. I know you have ask proof of those that say they are apostles, or followers of me, and are not my followers, but you have discovered that they are liars:

The Holy Bible King James version:

Revelation 2:3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

My interpretation:

Revelation 2:3 And you have endured with patience, and for my name's sake you have worked, and toiled without giving up, or quitting.

The Holy Bible King James version:

Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

My interpretation:

Revelation 2:4 But, I still yet have a problem with you! And that is you have fallen away from me, you have slowed down from that zeal that you first had when you confessed that Jesus Christ was Lord, and that excitement that you had when you were first washed in the blood of the Lamb.

The Holy Bible King James version all together:

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

My interpretation all together:

I know the things that you have done, and how much work you have accomplished, and how you had great patience to get this work done. I also know that you cannot stand to be around those that are evil. I know you have ask proof of those that say they are apostles, or followers of me, and are not my followers, but you have discovered that they are liars: And you have endured with patience, and for my name's sake you have worked, and toiled without giving up, or quitting. But, I still yet have a problem with you! And that is you have fallen away from me, you have slowed down from that zeal that you first had when you confessed that Jesus Christ was Lord, and that excitement that you had when you were first washed in the blood of the Lamb.
