TOASTMASTERS

Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization founded in 1924
dedicated to helping people overcome their fear of public speaking. It
provides training and educational opportunities as well as a hands-on practice
with public speaking.
BENEFITS
Silver State Toastmasters can help you develop speaking and leadership
skills. You gain valuable experience by practicing basic speaking skills learned from the Communications and Leadership Manual and other advanced manuals.
In addition, the skills learned through Toastmasters can provide the following
opportunities:

Overcome your fear of speaking in front of people

Receive and learn how to give positive feedback on speaking skills

Learn how to facilitate and lead a group

Become a better listener
MEETINGS
Silver State Toastmasters meets at 7:00 p.m. every Tuesday night at
the Hampden Branch of the Denver Public Library. The library is located
at 9755 E. Girard Ave. in Southeast Denver.
MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Silver State Toastmasters welcomes visitors and guests to any of our
meetings.
New members pay a one time initiation fee of $16 to Toastmasters International
and $4 to Silver State Toastmasters. Membership dues are $20 every six
months and are prorated depending on when you join.
