GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.......

"We don't know why the lily has so brief a time to bloom
in the warmth of sunlight's kiss upon it's face.
Before it folds it's fragrance in and bids the world good-night
to rest it's beauty in a gentler place.
But we can know that nothing that was loved is ever lost,
and no one who has ever touched a heart can really pass away,
because some beauty lingers on
in each memory of which they've been a part.

INDY WITH HER LATE BUDDIES, BARNEY & HOGAN, WHO NOW WAIT AT THE RAINBOW BRIDGE...

Indy keeps a watchful eye over her two departed pals,
"JUST PLAIN BARNEY AACD, TT, CGC
(in the middle)
and
BRISCOE'S HANG TOUGH HOGAN
(on the right)
I was lucky enough to share some eighteen years with this
wonderful, gentle Beagle cross. We discovered the sport of
obedience together, so it was good 'ol Barn that got the whole
thing started here at Silverado. While obedience was not his forte,
he happily did as I asked. He found his calling instead, in giving
tours of our animal clinic for incoming scout troops, visiting
nursing homes and rehabilition centers, and simply by being
the best friend anyone could ever hope to have.
Hogan came to us about eleven years ago, the runt of the
litter who probably should never have survived, and he
continued to beat the odds his whole life.
Hogan was the "test cat" for countless rescue dogs who
came through our doors, and the "distraction" during
sits and downs at more than one obedience class over the years.
They truly were, as a dear freind put it, "distinguished gentlemen"
and they will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to
call them friends.
