Free Without A Care

written by Elizabeth Waller

She closed her eyes and faced the sun
She felt it's golden rays
It warmed her skin and soothed her heart
Her mind stuck in a daze

What was it here that drew her
The salty summer air
What was it here that threw her
A laugh without a care

Her arms extended to the sky
Her eyes now blue as day
And as her spirit raised up high
She knew not what to say

Her arms, they turned into two wings
A sweet alluring song
A thought of love
A breath of life
Nothing could go wrong.

The rays coverd her simple form
They grazed her silken hair
She knew what she was meant to be
Free without a care.
