A Water Experiance

Written By Elizabeth Waller

I feel the small droplets of water falling down and plopping against my skin. I look up to the sky and close my eyes. The rain beats against my face. I can feel it running down my cheeks, my chin, dripping off my face. The thunder sounds in the distance. A loud crash, a bolt of lightning. The wind blows through my hair causing it to perform its ecotic dance. My shirt is now saturated and is begining to stick to my body, but i don't mind. I laugh at the fact that others would find this frightning. I marvel that they would find it even the least bit uncomfortable. But I find peace in the storm. The joy of being at one with that which is around me. Neither hot or cold, day or night; time has no meaning to me now. All I know is the feelingm the sight, the sound, the smell of everything that is happening here in this place. Ah, yes, some may think it absurd, but, who are they to judfe my reality? I twirl around in a circle and laugh! They are all so nieve. They hold no power over me or what I think or believe. They know not what is true...

I pause for a moment in my thoughts and notice the rain subsiding. I lower my head and wish that the whole world could feel what I feel. I imagin how peaceful it would be.
