Paddy Meld

.

The boys were out there working, on Echo shift one night,

A call came in about a group, on the street about to fight.

Units were responding, some close and some quite far,

Craig Griffiths in the wagon, Wayne Dore in a car.

.

They are usually together, partners are the two,

Split to man the wagon, Craig joined the chosen few.

They closed in on the street scene, arriving side by side,

Wayne moving in so quietly, in his brand new ride.

.

Craig didn’t see him coming, as he got set to pounce,

About to turn the corner, he felt his wagon bounce.

Now what did I run over, was his initial thought,

Looking out his window, he saw the Ford he got.

.

The impact snapped the A-Frame, of the Paddy Wagon truck,

And left it quite disabled, of all the rotten luck.

By now the Squad was made aware, of their little M.V.A.,

The air was filled with comments, not one was shy to say.

.

Up to their ears in paper, each writing out his sides,

About this little mishap, and how they crunched their rides.

Partnerships can be quite close, each a half a pair,

Sometimes they even think alike, bad guys all beware.

.

Craig and Wayne have bonded, brothers in the job,

Then took it one step further, while facing down a mob.

Their partnership is solid, like steel held by a weld,

They took a Ford and GM Truck, and did a Paddy meld.
