Pokemon (Poh-kay-mahn),otherwise known as Pocket Monsters, is about a 10
yr. old boy named Ash Ketchum his Pikachu and his two friends Brock and Misty who accompany him on his Adventure.
In his Land there are many strange Animals called Pokémon (150 to be
exact). The various species fall within 15 main elements: Normal,
Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying,
Psychic, Bug, Rock, Ghost, and Dragon. Most Pokémon evolve into another
type of specie usually more powerfull. Pokémon are fought for money and Fame. To capture a Pokémon you
must first weaken them with your own Pokémon then capture them with a
Pokéball. His Mentor, Professor Oak, tells him all about Pokémon and
how he loves everything about them. Professor Oak once a Strong Pokémon
trainer has aged and gotten to old for Fighting them so he devotes his
life to studying the Pokémon. In his studies he creates a cataloger
that identifies Pokémon. This invention is called the Pokédex. So
he makes two of them and gives one two Ash and the other to his Grandson
Gary Oak ,Ash’s Rival, before his life of Pokémon Ash and Gary were great
friends. As Ash sets out to become a Pokémon Master he has many adventures
with his two friends and his 4 Pokémon who’s names are Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander,
and Bulbasaur. Pikachu is a mouse type Pokemon that can
emit an Electric Charge when frightened or mad. Along his journey he
runs into Team Rocket who becomes another of Ash’s’ enemies. Jessie, James,
and their Pokémon Meowth of Team Rocket are always trying to get money as
fast and quick as possible. Team Rocket is lead by Giovante, A criminal in his land. As Ash grows and has more
adventures he learns more and becomes a stronger, greater trainer, and
keeps his eyes set on his goal in life, which is to beat the Elite four
of the Pokémon league in succession in a Pokémon battle, Therefore becoming
the Pokémon league Champion, a Pokémon Master and fulfilling his destiny.

Once a Pokémon has had enough experience it grows levels making it faster, more powerfull, better defence, and so-on. but when some grow a certain amount of levels they evolve like so:
