New Mexico Firefighters Training Academy

These were taken Spring of '98 during "Fire Awareness/Prevention Week".
District 8, (Belen), and District 7 got together and put on a demonstration
of a vehicle accident/rollover and extrication.

The following photos were taken in December '98 at what is called a "Xmas Tree Burn". Basically the "Xmas Tree" is a large stand utilizing LPG gas and ignited. There were several Valencia County Fire Districts that participated which included District 1, (Rio Grande Estates), District 2, (Tome Adelino), District 7, (Los Chavez), District 8, (Belen), and District 9, (Jarales/Pueblitos). It was a lot of fun and very educational.
