ruining one of its most beloved and well developed characters -

Edmund Grey. Until recently, John Callahan had been the recipient of

some of the show's strongest stories, and I was eagerly anticipating

a front burner story in which he could find some well deserved

happiness. Unfortunatley, what we have seen instead is a warm,

sensitive, fair minded, devoted family man become arrogant, obtuse

and sanctimonious, turning his back on his family and friends for Kit

Fisher, a woman he knows only bad things about. It is heartbreaking

and infuriating to watch Edmund become some mindless and heartless

fool.
