I always wondered what matt and trey think of the simpsons well,I found out in a recent interview on the web:

QUESTION: What do you guys think of "The Simpsons"?

PARKER: Well, it's great. No, it's way better than our show.

STONE: Yeah, "Simpsons." is one of the best shows ever on TV. I mean, nobody can say anything other than that. (applause) Thank you. Thank you.

PARKER: Thank you. We worked hard on "The Simpsons."

STONE: And I like chocolate cake, too. (laughter) I just thought you might like to see that :)
