A Forgiveness Prayer
Great Spirit, Father God, we pray, with all of our being that You will bless
us with Your divineness and let true forgiveness wash our spirit and soul.
We pray that You will bless us with the ability to forgive the hurt, pain and
destructive images that we've carried within ourselves for so long. Lord, we
truly did not understand the negative impact we have allowed these choices,
actions and words to have upon us.
We pray for a complete healing of our body, spirit and soul; wash us in Your
Light. Banish from us, the negativity that we have perceived, implanted and
carried within us. We pray for cleansing and forgiveness, for hurting
ourselves by giving these events, actions and words, power over us. We pray
to be freed from the resentment, pain, anger and sorrow we have carried
within us for so long.
We choose instead to remember and implant the love, compassion, honor and
respect all have shown us during our lifetime. We now banish these bad
memories and thoughts from our being forever. We choose instead to focus on
the love and compassion we've been shown, and the love and compassion we have
to give.
We forgive ourselves, and all others, for our humanness, our mistakes and our
poor choices. We had no understanding that these actions and words would be
so destructive. We pray that You, Great Spirit, Father God, Creator of All,
will enter our hearts and wash us with a sense of love, joy and well being.
We pray for all of your children Lord, that our hearts will be opened so we
may be blessed by Your true gifts of compassion, joy, abundance and love.
