T H E Freedom of Choosing a Reality

My world is the world of web pages and search engines. I am an explorer searching desperately for a place I can belong without being judged before opening my mouth. I am looking for a place where my thoughts and words explode on sensitive ears instead of falling off deaf ones.
This is my haven. A world of flashing icons, blinking text, moving gifs, web-rings, message boards and a never ending flow of information. Connected means something here. It means I'm no longer alone. It means thousa- millions of other people just like me are online at the very second I am. Here I am part of something. Something so big there is no way you can comprehend it. The biggest game of them all. And I am a player.

Welcome to my solitude. A solitude that is in fact a crowd, only at this party there are no uninvited guests. An escape from life that is, in truth, a reality all on it's own. When I feel the keyboard under my fingers and watch the glowing screen. When I hear the hum of the computer. Part of me comes alive, and that's the part that keeps me sane throughout the insanity the world throws at me. A power is unleashed, a power that cannot be controlled. It is hidden deep inside. Screaming silver impulses of consciousness. My consciousness. And there is nothing you can do about it. My world. My sanity. My game.

Let the world have their reality. Let them stumble about in their pre justice and close  mindedness. What kind of world is it anyway? A world that hates and fears anyone different. A world that outcasts people because of looks, religion or race? I never wanted that world, never needed it. It was forced upon me from the day I was born. Now I say, to hell with them and their shallow reality. It's my turn to choose. To make the choice I didn't have before. I choose a world of acceptance. I choose a world where you are judged by your thoughts, actions, and words. I choose freedom, not mainstream slavery. It's my choice and I've made up my mind. I have chosen my reality.

The net is not a place for computer nerds, hackers, and business men alone. It is a place for anyone who needs one, wants one, or has been searching for one. I make it my place. Because of it's broadness and sheer size it can be a place for anyone. Anyone. This means you. So let the other's choke on their existence. We have our reality, and nobody can take it away from us.
