Cries of a Triumphant Heart

You smiled and thought of your great fortune
While I sat and wept

I saw that smile playing on your lips
And I felt all the pain

I loved you and you used my love
As you would a toy

I trusted you and you used my trust
And laughed at my pain

Now that I am free I laugh at you
Yet my heart still aches

It is you now who will have to endure the pain
Not I but you

It is your turn to feel the betrayal
And I shall laugh

I shall laugh as your heart bleeds
And your spirit falls

Your cries will fall on the deaf ears
As you used on me

Enjoy your pain for you made it
And I deliver it

And I shall laugh and smile and dream of my good fortune
While you sit and weep
