General: Somewhat of an embarassment to the rest of the Panasian system, Pelgitha has spent the past three decades immersed in civil war. As a result of several offworld ships being attacked under the presumption that they were from another faction, Panas has issued an almost universal embargo on the planets trade routes with the exception of foodstuffs and medicinal goods to aid the suffering population. Peace talks have been officially under way for seven years. No agreements have yet been reached. Life: There are several species of Mynock on Pelgitha as well as Sand Ghest and, most surprisingly, Rancor. While rancor are very rare, there would appear to be at least three still surviving on Pelgitha in an area almost unreachable from anywhere on the planet except by air. While Pelgitha's airforces have been all but decimated in the early years of the civil war, there is little chance that the Rancor have been disturbed at all in over a decade. Terrain: Pelgitha's terrain is mostly rocky flatland punctuated by large mesas and rock spires. Vegetation is plentiful but grows almost exclusively around the rivers and lakes which ring the planets equater. Cities: The only cities left standing lie well within the borders of each of Pelgitha's three main warring continents. Any cities on the borders have long since been destroyed by artillery fire. Panasian tacticians credit the survival of the remaining cities (and indeed population), as being directly related to the fact that Pelgitha remains an extremely low technology based civilization, and they have not yet developed weapons which can reach deeper into it's enemies territories. Climate: Except for the rainy season, which lasts anywhere from 1 to 4 months, Pelgitha's climate is warm, dry and dusty.
