Chapter 2

They finally reached the hotel and walked inside. They asked they asked the lady at the counter where the Hanson contest was taking place.

"Down the hall, to the left." She replied.

Since they had never been here, it took them a while to find the room. There were actually 20 girls there, more that the man had said. They were all tall girls, taller than Ike, who looked like Super models. But Lindsay and Jenny were actually very pretty, 13 year olds, who were around 5'2". They knew that they were shorter, but they weren't stubby or anything like that. They saw a sign up on the wall that looked like this.

Pool-Floor 2. Game room-Floor 3. Rooms 1-1035-Floors 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. All rooms above that floors 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15.

"Come with me" Said Linds'

"Where?"

"Just come" and Lindsay, and she pulled Jenny's arm.

Once they arrived where Lindsay was heading, Jenny said.

"I don't to go to the video game room. I just don't want to play video games."

Just then Jenny started to scream.

"Hi!" Said a little voice behind her. "I'm Zac Hanson"

"Uh, yeah, we know" Said Lindsay and Jenny together. Jenny was still gasping.

"Are you guys here for the contest?" Zac asked.

"Yep!" said Linds.

" We were all afraid no girls would come up here." said Zac. " Hey let me go get my bro's , they are still finishing up a game of rugby!"

" Taylor, Ike, this is Lindsay and Jenny. " " Hey, uh, guys?" Taylor said. " Will you sing for us, 'cause you'll have to during the interview?"

" Sure!" said Lindsay. " By the way, we're both 13."

" Oh, no!" said Zac. " But hey! You're Taylor's age, you could go out with him!"

" Shut up Zac." Said Taylor, as Ike laughed.

"Okay, I'll sing. " she said, purposely avoiding what Zac said. She sang, and they told her she had done a great job.

" Hey, doesn't the contest start at 3:30?" said Ike.

" Oh my gosh, we should get going! It was really nice to meet you guys! Bye!"

" So, how do you like her Taylor?" said Ike.

" Shut-up Ike, she's cute, okay? That's all I'm gonna say."

" Sorry, bro."

" I hope she wins." said Zac.

" Yeah, me too." said Tay and Ike. Then they decided to walk down to the conference room. Everybody was already in there waiting. Another thing Linds noticed was that they all were wearing fancy dresses. She was glad she picked something comfortable, 'cause they didn't look so comfy. The lady at the desk came out and told everyone their number which they would have for their interview.

" And you, Lindsay dear, ( and smiled as though she was the cutest girl on Earth ) are number five." Since they had time to spare, they decided to go to McDonald's and grab a small snack with Lindsay's mom. Her mom found out each interview would be about 30 minutes long. Some people would have to do it at night, Linds thought. And with that, they headed off to McDonald's. They each ordered a cheeseburger and fries.

"You know what?" Asked Lindsay to Jenny. " Even though I already sang in front of Hanson, I am nervous to go to that interview."

Jenny replied "Why don't you listen to Middle of Nowhere. Maybe it will calm you down. You look really tense." Little did Linds know that listening to Hanson was more like a practice. 'Cause she already planned on singing 4 songs from the album, which Mr. Rondo said was required, plus one song of her choice. She was going to sing "I will come to you," "MMMBop," "Lucy," "Thinking of you," and "Wheres the love." Then for the song of her choice, she was going to sing "Poison Ivy" Which was on Hanson's first album, Boomerang.

After McDonalds, they Headed back to the Hotel just in time. It was her turn. The thing that was weird was that Hanson was there. The man asked her a whole bumch of questions:

Man: Do you like Hanson a lot? Linds: More than you could ever imagine. Of course! Then it went on from there.

During the interview, Ike and Zac kept nudging Taylor. And then Taylor nudged them back. Zac fell out of his seat also. Then it was her chance to sing. She thought she sang better than she ever had in her whole life. When it was over, they clapped and the man complimented her. Taylor was just blushing. Now all she had to do is wait untill they posted the next call back sheet.
